A passenger in a vehicle involved in a head-on collision in Georgia has recovered $125,000 in insurance payments for his injuries.
Facts and Allegations
Dudly Chiwandire, a law student from South Africa, alleged that he was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle operated by Daniel Winsley in Suwanee, Georgia, when it was struck head-on by a vehicle operated by Raymond P. Alexander.
Mr. Chiwandire primarily claimed injuries to his left wrist from the collision.
He filed a claim with Mr. Alexander’s liability carrier and also sought underinsured motorist benefits from his own carrier, Nationwide. Mr. Chiwandire alleged that Mr. Alexander had been negligent in the operation of his vehicle,causing the accident and his personal injuries. He said that he had two surgeries and physical therapy and alleged that he had a permanent loss of range of motion in his left wrist and thumb, affecting his daily activities and ability to care for his three young children. He claimed $65,834.01 in past medical costs and further sought damages for his pain and suffering. Mr. Alexander did not dispute Mr. Chiwandire’s claimed injuries or damages.

A passenger in a vehicle involved in a head-on collision in Georgia has recovered $125,000 in insurance payments for
his injuries.
Facts and Allegations
Dudly Chiwandire, a law student from South Africa, alleged that he was a front-seat passenger in a vehicle operated by
Daniel Winsley in Suwanee, Georgia, when it was struck head-on by a vehicle operated by Raymond P. Alexander.
Mr. Chiwandire primarily claimed injuries to his left wrist from the collision.
