RECOMMENDATION & CONCLUSION
THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN
ORGANISATIONS

INTRODUCTION
Knowledge is defined as a source of sustainable
competitive advantage for organizations in today’s
               economy (Wang & Noe, 2010).

 KM, make easy the process of transferring knowledge
among employees and effectively convert the knowledge
               shared for organizational benefit.

 Knowledge sharing is completely connected to
               company improvement (Liao, 2006),

 Boosting up company’s productivity (Quigley, Tesluk,
               Locke, & Bartol, 2007)

 Increased the performance of the organisation (Verburg
               & Andriessen, 2011).
Talent wins games, but with Knowledge sharing , teamwork and intelligence wins championships

  STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS

Why knowledge sharing always result in failure?
The organization always allocated some resources for knowledge
management but many of them still failed (Wang & Noe, 2011).

   SCOPE OF THE STUDY
To determine the barriers that occurred related to knowledge sharing
 effectiveness.

Three categories of barriers identified in this study:
  Cultural barriers
 Relationship barriers
 Organisational barriers
-Silo mentality

           -Knowledge is Power
        “Managers believed that
knowledge is a basis of Cultural
         power for promotion and
         therefore unwilling to barriers
         share their knowledge”.

                                                          -Changes
-Low level of trust among
                                                          employees
•Employees start to
share knowledge The Barriers On The Path of
only after they -Incapable to manage
know each other. Knowledge Sharing In
                                                        and assimilate the
                                 Organizations information obtained.
HOW TO PROMOTE KNOWLEDGE
           SHARING?

There are four main approaches that should be
considered in order to increase the effectiveness
of knowledge sharing process.
 The following ways are:
•Motivation :Enhance employees feeling of belonging to the
                      organizations.
•Socializing :Expose in Sharing experiences & Building Trust
                      (activities/events).
•Training Programs
•Communication/Interaction
Conclusion
 Understanding the
barriers in organisations
plays an important role in
defining the failure of
organisational goals

Management of the
organisations should know
that sharing cannot works
by itself.

 In fact, management
should be the mastermind
in determining the success
of knowledge sharing
among employees.
