Position: Service Consultant – Cisco Voice Networks
Key Deliverables:
• Professionally represent Real Time Operations and actively support team members in
all day to day operations.
• Acknowledge, check and respond to customer fault reports. Monitor fault tickets,
prioritize, and track progress as appropriate.
• Ensure technical and managerial escalation completed to defined time-scales.
• Liaise with customers and other internal or external agencies and third parties.
• Ensure overall adherence to quality procedures and working processes.
• Ensure awareness of SLA agreements, and perform all ticket actions in time-scales to
support SLA success.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with international regulatory voice guidelines.
• Responsible for maintaining all the SLA's within operations. Generating reports like
Device Availability, inventory, weekly SLA, monthly SLA.
Functional/Technical competencies:
Troubleshooting and Maintenance of Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Responsible for the administration, configuration and implementation of IP Telephony
systems.
Carry out initial diagnostics on the service to identify, understand & resolve the issue.
Administration of Cisco VoIP devices – IP Phones, Cisco Agent Desktop CTI Toolkit,
Call Manager (6.x, 8.x), Gateways and Cisco Unity Connection.
Coordinate with Service Providers for WAN and PSTN related issues. Coordinate with
Cisco TAC for escalated issue and perform troubleshooting with TAC engineers.
Configure call control protocols on Voice Gateways H.323, MGCP and SIP.
3. Configure MGCP fallback and Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) on Cisco
voice gateways for providing redundancy of voice services to registered Cisco IP
phones.
Configure and enable Device, Extension and Unified Mobility for end users.
Implement dial plans for both centralized and distributed based networks.
Configure and implement calling restrictions via Partitions and Calling Search Spaces.
Monitoring the Gateways, servers using RTMT and CA Spectrum.
Understanding of basic routing & switching protocols like RIP, OSPF, EIGRP & STP,
etc.
Good knowledge of Service parameters like Latency, Packet drop, jitter etc.
Hands-on experience on Putty, Remedy, Cramer, BT tools like Eco-Repair, Fault
diagnostics etc.
