Housing inventory is down 18% from 2011, resulting in only 40% of active listings remaining on the market. While the market peaked earlier in the year, housing activity remains robust with year-to-date sales increased approximately 23% over 2010.

10. My View of the Market
This year has been a strong year in the local real
estate market. Sales year-to-date are up 23%
compared with last year. Inventory has been low all
year and when low inventory is coupled with high
activity the result is frustrated buyers. Currently
approximately 40% of active listings are under
contract. The good listings go fast. Low interest rates
continue to entice buyers to move.
