ABOUT
The Thermomix is a high end kitchen appliance which
allows you to prepare a complete meal.
The Thermomix Recipe Platform is the ecosystem for digital
Thermomix recipes and recipe collections that can be
purchased.
Functionalities include visual browsing, step by step cooking,
personal notes, an elaborate planner and shopping list. All
purchases and actions are synced across devices.
CHALLENGE
Thermomix has very strict brand guidelines, and the
challenge was to appeal to consumers whilst not looking too
corporate.
Vorwerk International complemented me as being the
first person they worked with that could work within all the
restrictions whilst still making it look attractive compared
to all the other agencies and freelance designers they‘ve
worked with.

ABOUT
Together with DDB Amsterdam, I re-designed C&A’s
website for a three-way pitch. C&A’s goal is to become
a lovemark, and compete with brands such as H&M and
Mango which are perceived to be more modern and
fashionable.
To achieve this we’ve created a digital experience inspired
by a magazine-style, editorial layout. I‘ve removed the
clutter and used big, bold navigation and typography.
We’ve also put more emphasis on their products,
the services they offer and focus more on human stories
and imagery. Everything evolves around their tagline:
Inspired By Life.
ROLE
I was the lead designer on this project, and worked closely
together with a conceptual team, two creative directors, a
user experience designer and a motion designer.

ABOUT
Calvin Klein asked me to optimise their current e-commerce
website by re-designing selected pages to be more
responsive and easier to view on mobile, tablet and various
screen dimensions.
The screens on the right are the product detail pages for
desktop and tablet.

ABOUT
Live On Demand is a crowdfunding platform for live
performance such as concerts.
I‘ve been working together with Startup Live On Demand
the last couple of years to design and continuously improve
their website.

ABOUT
I‘ve designed this interactive platform for Philips via creative
agency TribalDDB, which was part of a global campaign
called ‘See what light can do‘.
It’s purpose was to show the benefits of LED lighting and
how it can enhance our lives. It hosted over 30 unique
‘Lightover’ videos and other inspiring & helpful content.
ROLE
I worked with another designer and design director on
several visual concepts, managed the extensive asset
production of the online campaign and social media
platforms and gave art-direction to the production agency.

This is a personal project of me and my husband:
Our dream was to start our own company called
Ocean Legends Tours; a touroperator specialised in
adventurous scuba diving safaris throughout South Africa &
Mozambique.
And this year the dream came true after many months of
hard work! On the tours we visit the top dive sites, go on
exciting safaris, and take part in numerous adventurous
activities.
The website allows you to explore, customize and book a
tour or request a tailor made holiday.

ABOUT
The following pitch designs I created in just 2 days via
agency Icemobile for Holland‘s No. 1 Supermarket chain:
Albert Heijn.
The concepts showed the search box in a very prominent
position. It would function as the main entry point for people
to explore the site.
The rich imagery creates more focus on product
promotions. On this project I worked very closely with a
team of UX designers to make it all happen in such a tight
deadline.
All the had work paid off and we won the 3-way pitch.
However the website never got developed unfortunately.

In 2010 I’ve worked for 4 months as the lead designer at
Tommy Hilfiger‘s global digital department. During that time
I’ve designed many seasonal campaigns, banners and
newsletters. The challenge was to create a new fresh look
for every season whilst still being on brand.

ABOUT
Metropolitan is an African financial services company which
provides insurance, pension and health administration, and
investment solutions for low- to middle-income earners.
I‘ve designed the screens below for a pitch I’ve worked on
together with Y&R and NATIVE South Africa.
My job was to take the above-the-line ads created by Y&R
as a guidance and redesign Metropolitan.co.za and making
the website feel more personal and accessible.
I’ve achieved this with large imagery, warm colours
and typography.

Liga is one of the leading biscuits brands in the
Netherlands.I was asked by advertising agency TBWA to
help out their creative team to create a couple of concepts
for Liga’s website.
The website was part of a strategic repositioning of the

ABOUT
I was asked directly by Weber Europe to propose a
redesign of their current e-commerce website in a pitch with
4 other agencies.
The challenge was to create a consistent experience
between .com, retail and printed media.
The proposal contained designs of the homepage and
productpages, together with a content strategy and overview
of opportunities to get more traffic towards their website, and
what features are needed for an optimal conversion rate.
Although I made it to the final round of evaluation,
I unfortunatly did not win the pitch.

Who I‘ve worked with
I’ve had the privilege of working for some of the best
agencies with the likes of Tribal DDB, Frog, EuroRSCG,
LBi, Blast Radius, Strawberry Frog and Achtung, just to
name a few. I’ve also worked directly for brands such as
Tommy Hilfiger and Vorwerk International.
My client base isn’t limited to local projects in the
Netherlands. I enjoy making connections and producing
work for any brand that’s in-need of my design services,
even if they’re on the opposite side of this earth.

I started in this Industry in 2005 at 19 years of age, working
as a junior designer for agency MediaCatalyst (currently
known as Nomads). Within 6 months I had grown to the
lead-designer working on international campaigns for Sony
Europe.
After 3 years I decided to start my own company, as I
wanted to gain more experience working with different
agencies and brands.
I temporarily moved to Cape Town and worked full-time
as a creative team lead for South Africa‘s leading digital
agency NATIVE. Now I‘m back in Amsterdam again and
enjoying freelancing.
Besides working as a freelance designer I love travelling
and scuba-diving. I also help out with the marketing and
promotion of my husbands company called Ocean
Legends Tours.
