Reporting to the Director I was responsible for the operational management
and delivery of building services maintenance for several key National

accounts. Having in excess of 300 premises within my remit receiving
revenue of approximately £3million this delivery of service was managed
via the Regional Branches. I had to ensure that focus remained on the key
deliverables of the contract. My role also included client review meetings
and the submission of client reports which included H&S & Environmental,
Risk Management/Incident reporting, Statutory Compliance, Operational
performance, Asset management and Supplier control. In order to ensure
that these elements were delivered to the highest level I undertook an
auditing process to ensure they were monitored. This provided full visibility,
identifying any issues which could then be addressed. I ensured that
communication continuity was maintained both internally and externally
and believe my skills in this area have built excellent customer
relationships.

Project Manager
Whitbread plc – Ventilation Project
Due to my experience in Projects I was given the task of surveying,
designing and tendering for a tempered fresh air ventilation system, for
numerous sites in the whole of the southern and midland region of the
country.
This project was in accordance with the air initiative Public Places Charter.
Phase 1 of the project involved total co-ordination of the installation of 36
No. outlets within a seven week programme.
Phase 2 & 3 consisted of 120+ outlets programmed at a very stringent
timescale of 4 outlets per week throughout the year.
The value of this contract was £2.5 million and was successfully delivered.
1997 –1999: Planned Maintenance Engineering Ltd
Contract Manager
David Lloyd Leisure National Contract
PME set up a National Contracts Division and I was drafted into the team as
M&E Contract Manager.
I was given the task of setting up, programming and co-coordinating the
delivery of M&E building services on the David Lloyd contract post tender
stage.

Initially this involved compilation of 30 No. site log books complete with
maintenance scheduling, co-coordinating programmed plant maintenance
through the local branches, logging and dealing with PPM breakdowns and
client liaising, all on a national scale.

I was involved at Tender Stage to estimate the entire services involved on
the project, and then to assist the Project Manager when the contract had
been awarded.
Assigned as Contract Engineer on the Project where duties were to ensure
that the job ran as programmed, ordering of materials, producing drawings,
attending site meetings, coordinating Sub-Contractors, producing Operating
and Maintenance Manuals, etc.

Employed by PME Limited where I served a five year HVAC Apprenticeship.
On completion of my apprenticeship I was awarded a place in the Bristol
Contracts Department as a Contracts Engineer and later promoted to
Contracts Manager.
Contracts included Bristol City Council, Avon County Council
Throughout these seven years I gained experience in most fields of the
Building Services Trade, i.e.; Estimating, Buying, Surveying, Client
Satisfaction & absorbing all of the businesses processes and procedures. I
also attended courses such as Health and Safety and CDM (Construction
and Design Management).
Interests
I enjoy many social activities which mainly include Skiing, MTB, visiting the
cinema and dining out.
I am also Club Secretary for a local youth football team of which I also
trained and managed a team for many years.
