I believe that the key to success is leading and building a
multi-talented team while creating a workplace culture where each

LatestResponsibilities
Job Title:New Technology Business Manager South America
Responsible for implementing and monitoring New Technology
introduction in South America. Undertaken in cooperation with the
M-I SWACO- Schlumberger segment VP's, Country Managers,
Technical Service engineers and other operations personnel in
South America to include the following:
 Ensure New Technology Introduction and Profitability by
assisting in defining and implementing best new technology
opportunities for all M-I SWACO product lines. These are
Drilling Fluids, Environmental Solutions, Wellbore Productivity,
Production Technologies and Drilling Pressure Management.
This was done in conjunction with our sister segments within
Schlumberger while maintaining a focus on profitability.
 Assist with strategic input for major tenders.
 Participate in Regional Profit Improvement initiatives.
 Provide input to Research & Engineering with regards to
identification of market needs and good ideas for new products
and services which will help to define the future direction and
objective of the relevant technologies.
 Create and participate in workshops for our customers and our
own personnel.
 Create and present presentations to our customers and our own
engineering staff.
 Support operations on new technology initiatives.
 Assist in the creation of "fit for purpose" products based on the
needs of regions and individual countries, especially those that
can be locally manufactured, also coordinate with Research,
Engineering and Procurement Group in Houston on this issue.
 Transfer best practices and technologies between Technical
Service Managers and regions, as well as internally in South
America.

Assignment History/Achievements
People and General and Operational Management skills acquired
during my career and the ability to recognize and act upon both
business and technical opportunities and understand their value to
our customers and M-I SWACO- Schlumberger was a key element
in my success at any job I undertook..
It is a constant challenge to launch relevant and profitable new
technologies into markets in Latin and South America. Working
together with the entire Latin and South American team we achieved
the yearly new technology revenue goals set for us every year since
2001, while maintaining margins at exceptional levels which I
believe is a testament to what a team effort can achieve.
During my time in Brazil I have built up an excellent relationship with
Petrobras as I have worked continually with them for more than 20
years and in South America I have always had excellent
relationships with every National Oil Company and many of the
private Oil and Gas companies working in South America..
Schlumberger conducts a yearly competition called Performed By
Schlumberger in order to recognize successful technically
challenging and innovative projects that are recognized as such by
our peers and customers. In the last 2 years I was awarded 4
Bronze Awards for my participation in 4 separate projects with 4
different teams.
I was a part of the M-I SWACO - Schlumberger Latin America team
that achieved 1 billion dollars in revenue for the first time in 2012 as
well as part of the M-I SWACO- Schlumberger global team that
achieved 1 billion dollars in IBT (Income Before Taxes) for the first
time in 2013.
Positions Held
New Technology Business Manager Latin and South America
M-I SWACO – Schlumberger 2009 – 2014. I exceeded the new
technology goals set for me every year since 2009. In 2014 we were
on track to exceed our new technology revenue goals by 35% while
maintaining and increasing margins to over 50% on projected
revenues of $100 million based on the current run rate while I was
managing it..
New Technology Business Manager Latin America Drilling
Fluids 2004 – 2009. M-I SWACO Continual growth of Drilling Fluids
new technology revenues achieved every year from 2004 until 2009
to over $145 million.
New Technology Business Manager Southern South America
Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Brazil M-I SWACO 2001 - 2004.
Increased New Technology revenues from $5.9 million to $18.2
million.
Country Manager Bolivia 1998 - 2001. Increased revenue per rig
from an average of $35,000 with Drilling Solutions per month per rig
to an average of $150,000 per month per rig by integrating and
adding two more segments, Environmental Solutions and Wellbore
Productivity, to our revenue mix. During this period we bought out
our local agent Apolo Services, bought out local competitor Intergas
and folded Dowell Fluids into our operations, becoming the market
leader within three years.
Regional Manager Northern Latin America to include Trinidad,
Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador 1992 - 1998. Managed
regional operations while becoming a profitable market leader in all
four countries.
Country Manager Venezuela 1992 - 1994. Managed country
operations.. In six years grew from fourth to first place in market
share and increased our rig count for PDVSA from 10 to 41 rigs.
Increased revenue from a low of $300,000 per month to an average
of $9 to $10 million per month.
Country Manager India 1989 - 1992. In charge of operations for
our two joint ventures in India, HMCL, a chemical manufacturer and
SIV Magcobar, a lignosulfonate manufacturer. This in addition to our
business with ONGC and Indian Oil, where once again we became
the market leader in our segment for ONGC.
Manager of Salesand Engineering Petrobras, Brazil 1978 -
1989. Providing customer support and service to Petrobras while
maintaining and increasing our market share to ensure we remained
the number one supplier of our services in Brazil.
Area Engineer Victoria, E.S., Brazil 1976 - 1978. Running our
base and warehouse and providing customer support for Petrobras
as we became their number one supplier in the region.
Drilling Fluids Engineer offshore Brazil (Campos, Portiguar,
Amapa, Santos) 1973-1976.
Work / Life Balance and Lifestyle:
It is important for me to maintain a balance between work and my
personal life and I make every effort to do so. However my children
and my wife also understand that sometimes getting the job done
can take an unexpected amount of extra time and effort involving in
some cases lots of travel. My family is an integral part of my life and
I will always strive to do what is best for them.
PersonalInformation
I was born in London and have UK citizenship as well as a
Permanent Brazilian Resident Visa and reside in Rio, Brazil.
I have been married to my wife Isabel since 1979 and have two
daughters. I like to exercise, play some squash occasionally, walk
on the beach or run around on a boat during weekends. I also like to
read a good book on a plane and getting together and enjoying the
company of my friends and family.

Schlumberger conducts a yearly competition called Performed By Schlumberger in order to recognize successful technically challenging and innovative projects that are recognized as such by our peers and customers. In the last 2 years I was awarded 4 Bronze Awards for my participation in 4 separate projects with 4 different teams. I was a part of the M-I SWACO - Schlumberger Latin America team that achieved 1 billion dollars in revenue for the first time in 2012 as well as part of the M-I SWACO- Schlumberger global team that achieved 1 billion dollars in IBT (Income Before Taxes) for the first time in 2013. Providing customer support and service to Petrobras while maintaining and increasing our market share to ensure we remained the number one supplier of our services in Brazil.
