7. THE BORING STUFF
“guys... I know you’re going
to say it was Ben, but … do
us a favour and just
DON'T!!”
When we finally got on our way through
the Glen Tilt area of Blair Atholl, which
is situated on the boundaries of the
Cairngorm National Park (biggest in
Europe) we had a long banterful walk
and a spot of lunch.
Our first day consisted of a 3 hour long bus journey
followed by an hour long wait in which we were
subjected to a awkward convo with a passing biker and
the frantic searching for sunglasses lens.

8. Out of the 5 highest mountains in
Scotland, 4 are present in this park
The Cairngorm National Park is
apparently home to over 17000 people.
However on our 3 days excursion we
were lucky if we seen more than 2.
The Cairngorms contains the
finest collection of different
landforms outside arctic Canada -
from granite tors to heavings and
leavings from Ice Age glaciers.
It also includes a rare kind of
pinewood found only in Scotland
and Norway.

9. When we arrived at our first campsite,
just along from the Falls of Tart … I
mean Tarf, we were immediately
ambushed by the plague of midges.
It was here that we met our accessor
Bob, Phil, Jeff, something, who
checked if we had put our tents up
correctly and had our food cooked
properly.
There was only one tragedy. All we can say is it
involved Ben getting it out for a pee and the swarm of
midges LOL :L

10. Our second day go off to a bit of
a cold and wet start. No we're
not talking about Dougie’s big
salmon (dont get excited Stuart)
After crossing the river BAREFOOT, climbing a
far from hunky dorey hill, we set off again on our
Duke of Edinburgh adventure
The funniest part of the day had to of been
Gemma’s face as she ran screaming in fear from
the cute doggies (rabid wolves to her)
We also saw some very …
interesting … people on
the 2nd day who were
very keen to meet us.

11. Throughout our walk we came in contact with
many animals such as ;
A heard of red deer
Red squirrels
A Golden eagle
(7 of them !)
The occasional
roadkill

12. Our food throughout the weekend was mostly Asda 3
for a £1 sweeties, uncooked pasta, watery chilli and
sweet and sour sauce on rice.
For lunch we had a packed lunch
that had gone slightly hard and
mouldy by the 3rd day
However, the suffering was all worth
it when we drove up to the golden
arches of our beloved Mcdonald’s
when we finally finished those very
long 30 miles
