Definition of Group Discussion
 Group Discussion is a modern method of assessing
students personality.
 Group Discussion is a process wherein a candidate is
evaluated on the basis of skills, attitude, knowledge
and personality traits in a span of time.
Group Discussion (cont..)
 Group Discussion is conducted to eliminate people in
mass.
 It's very difficult to assess everyone through Quantitative
aptitude, Qualitative Aptitude, Technical Aptitude,
Technical HR and F2F if 3000 applicants attend a pool
campus. Hence GD serves as a mass elimination tool.
 Also GD measures the student’s ability to first understand
the given topic, your acquaintance with current affairs to
actually know something about the topic, their body
language, the way they respect or contradict the opponent's
points and overall how interactive they are.

- The one who is initiating and giving opportunity to others in the team can
