6. What do young people care
about?
• There were 30,249 between the age of 18 & 25
who answered a survey last year
• 4,000 people were from India
• Almost all of us have thought about representing
young people, many on a global scale.
• The majority of us think “Taking action” is the
best way for young people to share their voice
and make impact.
• Almost half of us consider that “experience” more
important in our lives than fun, impact, network,
or employment. Another 15-20% choose impact.
• When asked to identify our top value, we chose
honesty.
7. Have you ever thought about
representing young people?
• 31% of young people from BRIC focused
on representing young people “in my
country”, in contrast with only 24% from
the G8.
8. What is the best way for young people to
share their voice and make impact?
• AIESECers are more likely to prefer
“taking action” than their peers, but no
matter what our AIESEC status or region
of origin, the majority still choose this
option.
9. Do you have a role model under
the age of 30?
• For about 700 of us, the role model is Mark
Zuckerberg ;) . Two times more English-
language respondents wrote about role
models who were “he” than role models
who were “she.
• Only half of us have role models under 30 –
but AIESECers and young people from BRIC
countries are more likely to have them.
10. “What is the most widely present
problem in your society?”
• Overall, respondents found corruption
to be the most widely present problem in
their societies, followed by quality of
education.
11. Keeping in mind all the issues that
India as a country is facing; do
you think that we, as AIESEC in
India, are creating an impact on
them?
15. So,
what is
The
AIESEC
Way?
The AIESEC Way is not only a description
of the way (manner)
we aim to make a positive impact on society, but also describes
the way (road)
we are taking to achieve what we envision.
16. What is AIESEC?
“AIESEC is a global, non - political, independent, not-for- profit
organization run by students and recent graduates of
institutions of higher education.
Its members are interested in world issues,
leadership and management.
AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,
gender, sexual orientation, creed, religion, national, ethnic or
social origin.”

36. Relevance comes from credibility!
- Being accessible
- Providing a high quality of
service|experiences
- Having a solid stakeholder
engagement & servicing model
37. AIESEC was created to deliver as
many life-changing experiences as
possible.
This means we need to constantly
strive to increase the number of
people that we engage as well as
strive to provide them high quality
experiences!
38. How do you make sense of a world
that is constantly changing? How
do you solve problems that the
world faces; problems that haven’t
been defined?
39. We are faced with an environment which holds
political, economic, environmental and other kinds
of uncertainty.
Our ability to adapt and innovate across these
challenges will be tied to our ability to remain
relevant: to utilize the most innovative
technologies, to remain open to paradigm shifts in
understanding, to constantly re-examine priorities.
40. We want to impact people for them
to have a positive impact on society.
41. Last but not the least, understand
this…
No matter how small your contribution is…
….you are creating a mark
…you are enabling people to live life-changing
experiences
…you are changing India
…and you are changing the world!
42. I AM a leader of AIESEC
I AM a leader of AIESEC in
India
I AM a leader of India
Notes de l'éditeur
Begins with a dialogue between the presenters- one essays the role of a doubter, the other is a believer
Doubter talks about how India was when he/she joined AIESEC.. Socil, economic political issues and how it just seems to have gone from bad to worse in that time, when in fact he/she wanted to be a part of a movement that changes/changed India
The believer agrees but also points out that there has been a growing youth movement since then- taking to the streets, demanding justice, using social media tools to raise awareness etc..
Doubter brings up how that is hearsay and baseless and frankly no proof behind it.
Believer brings up youth speak results and introduces the survey and the result findings- (till now time taken in 15 minutes)
(5 minutes survey findings)
Here rope in the audience and ask them what they think- based on the question. Take answers for 2-3 minutes
Spend another 3 minutes understanding the audience’s meaning of impact- ask them what is the best model for impact
Use this to transition the discussion into AIESEC and bring in the AIESEC way and AIESEC 2015 – 15 to 20 minutes
Here people can discuss these things in groups.
For the 2nd root- NPS asks if you think you have become a leader etc,But following the programme principles tells us that we are creating leaders by our value proposition so by following the programme principles, you are by definition creating leaders which then NPS asks them about
print
Here come out of the AIESEC discussion and more into the India lanscape- relevance in India, relevant needs in India, AIESEC fulfilling those needs
Need to adaptability as an organization- changing with the times (2015) yet retaining our essence (@ Way)
Our intended impact
Connect the session- experience delivery to fulfilling AIESEC’s purpose to thereby changing the country
Expect questions about @ers who are in change-making fields (politics, business) how are they contributing to India and ensure you have relevant data of your alumni to help them connect better!
