Nir Peleg has extensive education and work experience in biology, genetics, conservation, and teaching. He holds a B.Sc. in Biology, M.Sc. degrees in Molecular Biology/Genetics and Conservation Biology, and Ph.D.s in conservation genetics and molecular microbiology/biotechnology. He has worked as a research assistant at several universities and taught biology at the high school and university levels. Peleg develops science curriculum and continues to lecture internationally on teaching sciences.
