INFRASTRUCTURE
The cable & network technology has evolved tremendously sice
mid-1990-s, when JTIM first made inroads into the business of IT
infrastructure development. While in those days the cables were
the only means to connect various systems together, today they
may have to be augmented by wireless connectivity especially in
the last-mile segment.
Still, the cables remains the backbone to all networks. The cable-
based infrastructure is still needed to support horizontal and
vertical exchanges of digital data at very high speeds. Local area
networks, storage area networks and data centers still have to be
connected by physical cables. The cable infrastructure has to be
planned and deployed carefully based on a well-developed
design.
Technical Infrastructure is one of core businesses of JTIM that
