2. OVERVIEW
• Community Renewable Energy Solutions, LLC
proposes to facilitate the planning and
creation of a local renewable energy
collaborative – LREC – and the development
of central renewable energy generation
systems –CREGS - in the community for the
sale of renewable distributed electricity

3. ASSEMBLY – NO. 2502
• This Bill establishes “New Jersey Property
Assessment Clean Energy (NJ PACE) Municipal
Financing Program”.
• A-2502 provides at financing tool for municipalities
who wish to facilitate the purchase of solar energy
systems by homeowners, or groups of property
owners acting jointly to share the costs and benefits
of such improvements.

• To implement the program, the New Jersey
Economic Development Authority shall
establish low-cost sources of financing, such
as qualified energy conservation bonds and
investment from private capital sources, to
provide funding for the purchase of solar
energy systems to interested municipalities.

• This Bill makes energy services more
affordable for low and moderate income
ratepayers; promotes the lowest cost for
energy for all ratepayers; provides an
opportunity for all market segments to
participate.

6. FACILITATION/SCOPE OF WORK
• Community Renewable
Energy Solutions proposes to
work with the Township
Residents to:
1. Conduct feasibility study
2. Identify resident participants and public sites
3. Work with Township Council to develop a local government
renewable energy entity (“LGREG entity”)
4. Work with the BPU and PSE&G to license community system

5. Review financial options such as fee-in-tariffs, property
assessment clean energy (NJ PACE) program, tax free energy
bonds private investors etc.

(solar) in our community during peak day time
demand will support the utility company in
the area of demand side management.
• 2. A 25MW community solar system can be
designed to create micro-grids when
blackouts occur residents can go off the grid
and go on neighborhood systems that
generate electricity from bio-fuel, nat. gas etc.

• 3. A partnership with our solar service
provider, the BPU, PSE&G and the New Jersey
Economic Development Authority will assure
the funding in some form to be determined
after a funding study is made. There are
several options to finance a project of this
scale; energy bonds, private investors, utility
investment etc.

installation will be net-metered which
requires a smart meter installation. As more
smart meters are deploy in our service sector
