The Nourish International student organization at Ohio State University is seeking donations for a fundraising event to support a project to build a potable water pipeline in Cerro Blanco, Peru. The student group implements sustainable development projects abroad over the summer and needs $4,000 to complete the pipeline project. They are requesting gift certificates or other donations for prizes at their upcoming Olympic-style tournament to raise funds and awareness for their cause of addressing global poverty through education and community partnerships.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing on behalf of The Ohio State University’s Nourish International Chapter. Our group is a
student run organization that seeks to help solve problems caused by global poverty. Through our
many ventures we earn money to conduct sustainable development projects in underdeveloped
communities abroad. Over the summer, we implement these solutions by sending students abroad to
partner communities and allowing them to further our cause.
Our Ohio State Chapter will be traveling to Cerro Blanco, Peru this summer to build a potable water
pipeline for a community. With $4,000 dollars we will be able to complete the pipeline this July with the
help of the local Peruvian community. Once the pipeline is finished, the Peruvian government has
pledged to build a clean water resevoir for the region.

campus. We are humbly asking your business to consider supporting our mission by donating any
amount of gift certificates for Nourish to use as prizes this weekend. We understand the last-minute
nature of this request but due to unforseeable circumstances, our event requires more prizes. If you
are able to assist in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.
