2. PROJECT: WHITBREAD “HUB BY PREMIER INN” – BEDROOM CHAIR
Recently Nova Interiors worked closely with JSJ Design to design, develop and manufacture the
bedroom chairs for the latest hotel concept from Whitbread – “Hub by Premier Inn”.
“Hub by Premier Inn” is part of the new generation of efficient hotels which “value honest prices”
and location over space. Rooms will be only 11.4 sq metres and will include a desk that folds into the
bed, luggage space beneath the bed, an en suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi and a 40-inch smart screen
television.
Nova were called in at the eleventh hour to provide their expertise, to develop an iconic chair design
which fits seamlessly into this hi-tech, hi-design room concept.
The Project

The Brief – Simple sketches and a concept image made up the brief received from JSJ Design

Design – Our design team put together ideas using the latest SolidWorks design software

Development – We put together CAD drawings and 3D renders to give the client a clear picture of the product we would produce

6. PROJECT: WHITBREAD “HUB BY PREMIER INN” – BEDROOM CHAIR
Joinery - karol is our joinery manager and conducts all the development woodwork on new products

Cutting – Sean is another member of our experienced team here at Nova. Sean was responsible for the careful measuring and hand
cutting of the fabric and faux leather used on the chair

Sewing – Wendy is our talented sewing machinist and was in charge of sewing the fabric that was used on the seats of the
Whitbread Chair

Upholstery – Andrew is the head upholsterer in our Chesterfield factory. Like Karol, he is in charge of product development
