The document proposes assigning the SDGs to Tunisia's upcoming 2020-2025 National Strategic Plan and gradually integrating the goals into its medium-term budgetary framework. 3. 5. SDGs into the next
Strategic National Plan
• Incorporate the SDGs into the National Strategic
Plan (2020-2025)
• The Government should assign the global SDGs
to individual headings National Strategic Plan
• Each target should ideally aim at a real change
• All headings should promote the three
dimensions of sustainability – social, environ-
mental and economic.

6. Mainstreaming of SDGs
• Make SDGs easy to understand and use for
accountability purpose by NGOs, political
parties, media …
• The principle of sustainability should be
mainstreamed across all headings, e.g. the
current climate mainstreaming, should be
supplemented by objectives for social and
economic sustainability.

7. Budgeting for SDGs
• Soon, for the first time, the Tunisian budget
will be prepared using a programme
classification
• Each programme will give one or two strategic
objective with a long-term result
