NEW TASKS OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The system of General Education in Russia is constantly changed through
revising the educational standards with the emphasis on educating the
citizens for the information and new technology-based society
who are able to:
critically evaluate the
information
think creatively
(“outside the box”)
continuous learn and
retrain
CREATIVE AND CRITICAL THINKING IS A NECESSITY FOR
SUCCESSFUL FUNCTIONING IN THE MODERN WORLD
 To be curious;
 To formulate questions;
 To search for answers;
 To identify the causes and consequences of
the facts;
 To doubt common truths;
 To form an own point of view and defend it
with logical arguments;
 To have ability to listen the different
opinions of the opponents, try to
comprehend and take them into account
when developing a common solution
TO THINK
CRITICALLY IS:
THE SCHOOL
should not teach for the whole
life, but should teach to learn, to
sift the flow of information
critically, to stimulate students'
interest in creative and
intellectual activity
THE SCHOOL SHOULD TEACH:
To use arguments in

unreasonable value judgment
To see causal relationships
To find the mistake in the
studied materials
FSES (Federal State Educational Standard) -
a key document that determines the structure and content of basic educational programs (BEP),
expected learning outcomes and conditions for the implementation of educational programs

  • 4. THE SCHOOL should not teach for the whole life, but should teach to learn, to sift the flow of information critically, to stimulate students' interest in creative and intellectual activity
