3. The UN SDG Action Campaign is a special inter-agency
initiative of the UN Secretary-General mandated to scale
up, broaden and sustain the global movement of action for
the SDGs.

5. MOBILIZE GLOBAL DAY TO #ACT4SDGs
The Global Day to Act4SDGs is
the primary mass mobilization
activity of the Action Campaign. It
is a global yearly call to
action to engage all stakeholders
across the world to take action for
the SDGs
The Global Day is held each 25
September to mark the
anniversary of the adoption of the
2030 Agenda for Sustainable
Development and of the SDGs

8. MOBILIZE SDG WINGS - the butterfly effect for the SDGs
The SDG Wings campaign leverages the
power of new technologies to inspire
people to interact, own, and share their
support for the Goals.
The campaign brings together: i) hand
illustrations to turn each of the 17 SDGs into
wings; ii) Augmented Reality to bring the
wings to life; iii) outdoor placement and
cinema spots to bring the SDG to public
spaces; iv) a localized influencer and
social media engagement strategy; an
online platform for people to take action
for the Goals.

10. INSPIRE
The Global Festival of Action for Sustainable
Development is a creative and
unconventional 3-day global event that
brings together the most innovative activists,
the most inspiring story-tellers, the most
gifted young advocates and leaders from
governments, international organizations,
civil society and the private sector to share
ideas, learn from each other, forge
new partnerships, inspire action and
scale up actions for the SDGs.
2018 EDITION HIGHLIGHTS
More than 1500 participants from over 100 countries gathered in over 50
interactive sessions. The Festival hosted more than 250 speakers and 30
innovations and exhibitions -including arts and music. Over 30,000
people tuned in live to the UN webtv livestream from 158 countries and the
Festival was a trending topic on Twitter in Germany.

12. INSPIRE SDG ACTION AWARDS
The last edition had more than 700
submissions- within 7 categories:
innovator, includer, mobilizer, storyteller,
connector, communicator and visualizer.
The 2018 Award winners included an animated
anti-corruption cinema campaign from Nigeria, a
youth movement for the SDGs in Morocco, a
photo series from daughters of Bangladeshi
garment workers, and a creative programme
bridging policy makers with top entrepreneurs to
find SDGs solutions in the USA.
The SDG Action Awards identifies and recognizes innovative and
impactful SDG campaigners and mobilizers around the world. The awards
process serves both as a means to incentivize and motivate the UN SDG
Action Campaign community to undertake and share their actions as well
as providing a reliable source of innovative and creative ideas that can
inspire others.

14. CONNECT MYWORLD
MYWorld is a global citizen survey designed to empower people and ensure
that everyone, even from the most marginalized groups, can have their say
on Sustainable Development Goals.
MYWorld has two editions:
● Community - Easy to engage two-question survey to mobilize
millions of citizens, institutions and organizations.
● Scientific - Customizable question library of 90+ questions for in-
depth analysis of people's perception of the progress on each of the
SDGs.
