I found that the itinerary was planned very carefully and the six days flew without
any glitch, confusion and problems. From the time we touched down at Leh to
the time we said goodbye, not one thing went wrong. The hotels were good, the
sites chosen for visits were worth the trouble and the long drive, and the driver,
besides being excellent at his job, was equally good as a guide! We had a
wonderful time seeing Ladakh at close quarters; thanks mainly to the excellent

Freedom Road Trip
06th – 15th August 2016
Day 1 (06th Aug ) Depart
from Delhi
Leave your work and worries
behind as you board a
comfortable AC Volvo at 5:30 pm
from Majnu Ka tilla (opp
Gurudwara) in Delhi
Day 2 (07th Aug)-Manali
Arrive at Manali , transfer to the hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure(on your
own). Chill out at hot spring waters in
Vashishtha Village, hang out at various
cafes in Old Manali, or just “be” by a
lonely stretch of the Beas river. Hit the
bed early as a long drive awaits you
tomorrow. Night stay at Manali.
Day 3 (08th Aug)– Manali to
Jispa(138km )
After breakfast leave for Jispa (5-6
hours drive via
Rohtang Pass), where landscape
changes from lush green Manali
side to arid & rugged. The
afternoon is free to explore. Night
rest at guest house in Jispa.
Day 4 (09th Aug) – Jispa to
Leh(335km)
Today is one of the longest days of the
road trip wherein we cross the high
altitude passes of Baralachala &
Lachangla, Tanglalng la we start
descending towards the Indus Valley.
We will check–in to the hotel in Leh by
late evening.

Day 5 (10th Aug) -Sham Valley Excursion (75Km/ 3hrs O/W)
After breakfast you will be driven downstream along the River Indus on
Leh– Kargil Highway. Visit Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India
Army),and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Nestled deep
in the Himalayas, a drive of another 4 km takes us to Magnetic Hill
which defies the law of gravity & further driving through a picturesque
landscape we reach the Confluence Of The Indus And Zanskar River.
After this, we drive back to Leh en route visiting Spituk Monastery, built
in 15th century during the reign of Dharma raja Grags Bum lde, this New
Gelug-pa monastery was built like a fortress on the summit of crags. The
remaining evening is at Leisure. Overnight at Leh.

9. Day 6 (11th Aug)- Leh–Nubra
Valley Via Khardung La (120
Kms /4–5 Hrs)
After breakfast, we drive towards Nubra
Valley and enroute we traverse the
highest motorable road on earth
(Khardungla Pass, 18384 feet). From
the pass, one can see all the way south
over the Indus valley to seemingly
endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar
range, and north to the giants of the
Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly
known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers.
Enjoy the warmth of bonfire(weather
permitting) amidst the highest desert at
Nubra valley. Night Stay in Hunder at
Camp.
Day 7 (12th Aug): Nubra Valley –
Leh (120 Kms / 4 – 5 Hrs)
After an early breakfast we check out from the
Camp and drive to Hunder, where you come
across sand dunes besides the road and have an
opportunity to ride the double humped Bactrian
camels on this high altitude desert. Seen in
isolation, you could well be amongst the sand
dunes of the Thar Desert. It is indeed a strange
sight since in the same visual you get to see
the desert, Snow-capped mountains, a river
and camels, all thriving together. On the return,
stop at Diskit, famous for 515 years-old Buddhist
Monastery, magnificently situated on a hilltop,
facing the entire Valley. Later we drive back to
Leh in the late afternoon. On arrival at Leh you
will check in to your Hotel. Later leave for Shanti
Stupa in the eveving & enjoy RLT’s special
experience of the spectacular view of Night
Lights of Indus valley. Overnight at Leh

Tour concludes. Transfer to the airport

Day 09(14th Aug)- Pangong to
Leh
Wake up calls by the migratory birds
this morning. Indulge in the walk
beside the lake or go for a
photography splurge. Today, Further
en-route to Leh, we have an RLT
Special experience of tea at the
house of a local Ladakhi at Stok
village & admire the local
architecture. Arrive at Leh in second
half. Evening free. Overnight in Leh.

Day 08(13Th Aug )- Leh to
Pangong Lake (140km/ 4-5 hrs
onward)
Discover the myriad colours and
shades of Pangong lake. Leave Leh in
the morning, en route visiting Shey
Palace, the ancient capital of Ladakh&
3Idiots School further driving through
a picturesque landscape we reach
Thiksey, an impressive complex rising
tier upon tier on a hill above the village.
Reach Pangong by crossing the third
highest motor able pass (Changla)
on earth. Spend good 3-4 hours by the
great Pangong Tso, 2/3rd of which lies
inside the China border. Overnight at
Camps by the Pangong Lake.

Payment Schedule & Bank Details : To confirm a booking, participants are required to remit
25% of the package amount as advance immediately, 25% after 30 days of booking & the
balance 50%, atleast 1 month prior to departure. In case final payment is not received as per
payment schedule, RLT will be forced to treat the booking as cancelled & retain the amount
(already received) against cancellation.
Note : RLT reserves the right to amend the itinerary as and when subject to any unforeseen
circumstances.

Check-In / Check-out time at all the properties would at 0900 am
Roads Less Travelled by OYO will not bear any cost for flight cancelled or delayed due to Bad
weather or any other reason given by the airline. Cost for accommodation and transport in such cases
will have to be borne by passenger.
There would be no refund for the road blocks at Nubra Valley | Pangong Lake due to natural calamity
or any factor beyond our control. The alternate accommodation Cost at Leh due to the same would be
borne by the passenger directly.
No Refund or Compensation for any unused services or transport in any kind of circumstance.
No changes in the date of travel once booked.
Room allotment will be as per availability at the time of check in, floor or view preferences are not
guaranteed.
Food menu as per availability of vegetables based on Buffet | Fixed menus
Any dispute will be subject to Delhi jurisdiction
25% advance (Non Refundable) to be deposited at the time of booking confirmation
Any addition in Tax or Fuel charge done by Airlines / Transport Company etc will be chargeable to the
travelers .
The above rates are applicable strictly for resident Indian citizens only

Our offer is based on usage of base category rooms at the mentioned hotels (unless specified
otherwise) and if this category of rooms is not available we shall try to confirm accommodation in next
available higher category of rooms and shall advise supplementary cost involved while conveying the
status.
We shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary due to landslides, flight cancellations,
weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances. The additional cost incurred will be in addition
to the cost
