2. *****
In a world of shadows and cries,
A tale of sorrow and demise,
I write of a darkness, so cold and grim,
Of a practice that fills the ocean's brim.
*****
Whale hunting, a tragic pursuit,
Where lives are taken without dispute.
Once revered as lords of the sea,
Now hunted down relentlessly.
*****
Harpoons pierce the tranquil waves,
Shattering peace with merciless blades.
Innocent giants, now under siege,
Their haunting songs lost, like a forgotten league.
*****
3. *****
Oh, mighty creatures, victims of greed,
Your loss is one we cannot concede.
The oceans weep for your fallen kin,
As we witness this harrowing sin.
*****
What has become of our empathy,
To slaughter beings with such apathy?
The ocean's balance disrupted and torn,
As the echoes of harpoons continue to mourn.
*****
Let us reflect on our actions profound,
In this delicate ecosystem we've found.
For the whales deserve our deepest respect,
Their existence we must carefully protect.
*****
4. *****
So, let us stand as guardians true,
Preserving these creatures, noble and blue.
Let their beauty and grace forever thrive,
In a world where compassion can revive.
*****
Together we can turn the tide,
Ensure that whale hunting subsides.
And may the oceans once again rejoice,
As the whales resurface with their majestic voice.
