Sugar beet is a strategic food, feed and energy crop, essential in crop rotation program, giving better results, compared to other crops, by improvement of soil fertility and soil structure and has low water footprint. Production of EtOH from sugar beet need less water and is more efficient compared to such feedstock as corn stover, poplar, miscanthus and corn.
