Letter of Recommendation for Oliver Rezai:
Dear Committee Members,
As an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department of University of Nebraska at
Omaha, I have known Oliver Rezai for about three years now. He took my International
Relations of the Middle East course in Spring 2013 and Islam and Politics in Fall 2013.
Oliver has been a very good student with his commitment to my classes.
I design my courses in a way to incorporate student participation. I had about 20 students in
each class that Oliver was in. So, I was very able to see his participation to my courses. He
was one of top students in class. He read all the materials regularly and shared his critical
reflections about the readings and his friends’ comments with an analytical clarity. He really
enriched class discussions with his intelligent and critical comments.
Oliver is an very good student with tremendous potential and motivation to learn. During
my classes, he showed outstanding ability to locate class topics, to analyze them intelligently,
and to produce objective, cogent, and well-reasoned analyses. He presented his ideas with
impressive conviction in both oral and written form.
In summary, Oliver is a dedicated, highly motivated, knowledgeable and competent student.
I strongly and enthusiastically support his application for your internship program.
