1. What is your role?
Managing Director Gold Coast
2. What are you working on at the moment?
Focusing on 2014 planning for all business lines as well as wrapping
up deals for the balance of 2013.
3. How did you come to your role at CBRE?
Started commercial real estate career with JLL and moved to the private sector for a few
years and was approached to join the CBRE Gold Coast Office Services team in 2002 by
some ex-JLL colleagues who had moved over to CBRE.
4. What was your first job?
Weekend and Thursday night’s assisted centre management with marketing/promotions
for Lismore Central Shopping Centre.
5. Name a business leader you admire and why?
Rudi Giuliani – his passion and determination in improving the quality of life for the
people of New York City not only during his initial time as mayor by having a single
minded focus on ―sweating the small stuff‖ in order to make significant improvement in
reducing crime and violence but also his leadership following the 9/11 attacks in getting
the city back on its feet. He also attributes his success to surrounding himself with great
people who balanced out his weaknesses.
6. What is your leadership mantra?
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become aware
more, you are a leader – John Quincy Adams. This quotation is very much how I try to
operate each and every day and I get great satisfaction from knowing that I have some
influence over people developing their full potential.
7. What is your favorite leadership/personal quote to inspire success?
