de español, decidió iniciar un negocio que sería un reflejo de sí mismo: una

After working in other Spanish schools for many years, Chema decided in
2005 to open his own school, one that would be a reflection of his own
ideas: one that is not only a highly professional learning environment but

has become his passion, his life and like one of his children.

Su tamaño es ideal, Málaga tiene una población de casi 1
millón de habitantes. Tiene la misma cantidad de atracciones
turísticas, la disponibilidad de transporte (autobús, alquiler de
bicicletas, etc.) que la de las grandes ciudades, pero con las
ventajas de una pequeña. Todo está muy cerca, fácil y cómodo
para vivir.

Size- Málaga has a relatively small population, with just 1 million
inhabitants, but boasts the attractions and transport of a larger
city. This makes it a comfortable and an easy place to live in, as
everything is within a close proximity.
Not only that, but:
• Málaga has many beautiful beaches, one of them being
only a 10 minute walk from the city centre. In total it has a
coastline 15km long.
• It is one of the most beautiful and cultural cities in Spain. It is
clean, rich and VERY SAFE.
• The average living cost is cheaper than the other main

Granada, ideal if you want to travel around Andalusia.

6. La escuela
The school
La escuela de ONSPAIN se encuentra situada
en una típica villa del barrio de Pedregalejo. A
tan sólo 100 metros del paseo marítimo, gente
de todas las edades pasea y disfruta de los
días frente al mar en alguna de sus cafeterías o
restaurantes.
Pedregalejo, al ser un barrio de pescadores,
destaca por sus restaurantes de “pescaito
frito” y por sus habitantes locales que le
convierten en el marco perfecto para el
aprendizaje del español.
The original fishing village "Pedregalejo" was
later recognized as a suburb of Málaga. This
has continued to be recognized by the
numerous fishing boats and seafood
restaurants along the scenic coast.
El centro de la ciudad se encuentra a 20
minutos en autobús público.

Onspain is located in the beautiful residential
area "Pedregalejo", a peaceful residential area
situated only 100 metres away from the beach.
There are many cafes and restaurants that
serve typical Spanish cuisine; many of the
locals like to come here to enjoy the view of the
seafront. Plus it is only 20 minutes away from
the city centre by bus.
It takes only two minutes to get from the school
to the beach promenade, which offers limitless
opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
Here you will also find the typical "chiringuitos"
and restaurants where you can enjoy the
Andalusian cuisine.

7. Descripción de la escuela
Contamos con un total de 8 aulas, 3 de las cuales se encuentran en
el exterior, muy luminosas y sin ruido alguno. En la recepción,
nuestro personal estará encantado de informarle sobre lo que
necesite saber acerca de Málaga y los alrededores, entradas para
el teatro, museos o excursiones y actividades. Nuestra escuela se
distingue por el colorido de sus paredes y su ambiente familiar. Las
aulas están dotadas de equipos informáticos para el desarrollo de
las clases y mobiliario cómodo para el bienestar de nuestros
estudiantes. Ofrecemos Wifi gratuito en todo el edificio. En el patio
trasero organizamos fiestas de Bienvenida para los nuevos
estudiantes, no olvides hacerte tu foto en nuestro Fotocol!!!

Our school has 8 bright and quiet classrooms, 3 of which are outside.
Our staff are always available to answer and queries about the school
or the city itself. Furthermore we can also provide information and
assistance with any excursions around the city centre. Without a
doubt our school stands out from the rest with its colorful walls and
vibrant atmosphere. The classrooms are all equipped with up to date
audio-visual means, and wifi is available throughout the building. We
also hold many social events in our garden, including our welcome
party- don't forget to take a picture at our photocall!!

8. Metodología
y profesores
Nuestra metodología es dinámica, comunicativa y participativa. No sólo enseñamos las reglas
de la gramática, sino también el lenguaje que se debe utilizar y como comunicarse. Las clases
se imparten íntegramente en español desde el primer día y a cualquier nivel. Nuestro material
didáctico es a la vez moderno y eficaz, se hace uso de las nuevas tecnologías sin olvidar el
método tradicional de enseñanza utilizando las mejores técnicas para que aprendas español
mientras te diviertes.
Nuestros profesores nativos titulados están especializados en la enseñanza del español como
lengua extranjera. Pese a su juventud, cuentan con una amplia experiencia y hacen que la clase
sea un lugar donde los estudiantes interactúan y aprenden la lengua de una manera dinámica y

12. Viaje de estudios para grupos

Desde 2005 en ONSPAIN ofrecemos Estancias para Grupos dirigidas tanto a adultos (grupos de
amigos o profesionales que quieran venir juntos), como adolescentes (grupos de escolares
acompañados por sus profesores o monitores).
Curso
Se trata de programas personalizados por ello los cursos son a medida. Usted, como
responsable del grupo, podrá elegir los temas que quiere tratar en clase, tanto en la parte de
gramática como de conversación, a partir de un amplio abanico que le ofrecemos o proponerlos
y nosotros los elaboramos. Nuestro responsable académico se pondrá en contacto con usted
para perfilar los detalles.

Campamento de verano internacional
Los jóvenes españoles/extranjeros tienen la oportunidad de aprender inglés/español haciendo
un curso por la mañana con nuestros profesores nativos y por la tarde participando en un
programa especial de actividades, estando en contacto con estudiantes que provienen de
diferentes nacionalidades. Se trata de un contexto internacional, donde los
españoles/extranjeros tienen la fantástica oportunidad de conocer diferentes culturas e
intercambiar ideas y experiencias con estudiantes extranjeros de su misma edad.
Contenido: 15 lecciones por semana, 3 lecciones de inglés diarias
3 clases diarias por la mañana (de 10.00 a 13.00) y un programa de actividades sociales,
deportivas y culturales que se imparten todas las tardes (de 16.00 a 19.00).
Niveles: A2, B1
Fechas de inicio: 8 de julio / 19 de agosto
Duración: 2 semanas
Edad: entre 15 y 20 años

Onspain Languages offers courses for groups either for adults (groups of
friends or professionals coming together), or teenagers (groups of students
accompanied by their teachers or monitors).
We arrange personalized programmes according to the following options:
• Types of Course: consult our website www.onspainschool.com.
• Number of classes / week of Intensive Spanish course: 15, 20 or 25
lessons / week, in open or closed groups according to each participant's
level of command of Spanish.
• Type of Accommodation: Home-stay (option suggested for minors),
shared apartments, individual apartments, hostels or hotels.
• Daily Programme of activities and excursions.
• Pick-up service from the airport to Málaga. The closest airports are
Málaga and Granada.

International Summer
Camp
Young adults have the opportunity to meet and socialize with their Spanish
peers as well as those from different nationalities in our activities period every
afternoon. It provides a fantastic opportunity to learn more about Spanish
culture and to exchange ideas and experiences.
Content: 15 hours of lessons per week, 3 Spanish/English lessons in the
morning (10am-1pm), followed by a specialized activity programme in the
afternoon (4-7pm), whenever it suits the students).

También podemos organizar un servicio de recogida de los
aeropuertos mas cercanos. Un profesional del servicio público
de transporte (taxista) que colabora con la escuela, te recogerá

y una persona de la escuela esperará en el aeropuerto de

Pick Up Services
We can also arrange for you to be picked up from Málaga or Granada
airport. Our taxi driver who works especially for us will pick you up and

más que un curso de español: ¡una experiencia que nunca olvidarás!
Onspain ofrece al estudiante una gran variedad de actividades a realizar de
manera paralela al curso de español. Un programa de actividades diarias que
no sólo favorece el aprendizaje, sino que además proporciona numerosos
contextos en los que practicar la lengua, facilitando la inmersión del estudiante
en la realidad que le rodea. Este programa se completa los fines de semana con
diferentes excursiones.
Además, siempre hay muchas cosas que hacer o que ver: conciertos,
festivales, museos, etc. Te mantendremos informado de todo lo que suceda en
Málaga durante tu estancia.

17. Travelling abroad is always a great experience. We would like to offer you more
than a Spanish course: an experience you will never forget!
We offer a wide range of activities to enhance your learning experience. We have
a daily program of teacher-lead immersion activities, which combine language
instruction and practice within a variety of contexts.This program is
complemented with different excursions at the weekend.
We will also keep you informed of "what's on" during your stay in terms of cultural
events such as the Flamenco Festival and concerts etc.

YEAR 10 AND 11 HOMESTAY VISIT TO SOUTHERNS
Palaces, amphitheatres, Picasso, paella, tapas and much more!
On Sunday 21 October 33 girls from Years 10 and 11 set off with Mrs
Braithwaite, Señora Matas and Mrs Holbrook, bound for a week
staying with Spanish families in Málaga. We had a pleasantly
uneventful journey and arrived at the language school called 'On
Spain' in time for the girls to meet their Spanish host families. We
were blessed with two beautiful warm sunny days but then a couple
of cloudier ones with some rain. However, the weather did not stop us from doing what we had planned. During
the day, we met up as a group and had a full and varied programme of excursions and activities. These
included day trips to Granada with a visit to the wonderful Moorish palace known as The Alhambra, Ronda – an
impressively situated town with the oldest bullring in Spain, Córdoba with its amazing mosque, the fantastic
caves at Nerja and, of course, Málaga itself which has a fortress, Roman amphitheatre and is the birthplace of
Picasso. There is also a large pedestrianised shopping centre which the girls enjoyed exploring! Other
activities also included a visit to a tapas bar, sampling chocolate con churros and paella, and a morning on the
beach. The girls also had a dancing class in which they learnt the rudiments of the Sevillana, a typical
Andalucian dance. The various visits were enlivened by our delightful tour guide, Joni, who also entertained us
all with his juggling and magic tricks at the Halloween party which was kindly arranged for us by Mavi, our tour
co-ordinator. We were very impressed by the girls' behaviour throughout the trip and were delighted to be told
that they were the nicest group of English pupils that 'On Spain' had ever had in Málaga! They were a real credit
to The Royal School and have returned with a greater understanding of Spanish culture and the language, as
well as a real enthusiasm to return to Spain sometime soon. Thanks go to Mrs Braithwaite, Mrs Holbrook and
Señora Matas for all their support during what was a very successful and enjoyable trip.
