1. FULLFIELD IV™
Riflescopes
USER GUIDE
This user guide includes information
for the entire Fullfield IV riflescope line.
Please review thoroughly and pay close
attention to the details pertaining to
your specific riflescope model.
2. The Fullfield IV®
riflescope line continues the
Burris tradition of dependable optics, rugged
design, proven accuracy and performance of
the legendary Burris®
Fullfield riflescopes. Your
Fullfield IV includes the following features:
•
Proven Reticle Technology. Throughout
the line, there are seven reticles to choose
from in MOA configurations.
•
Low Profile Adjustment Knobs. The
finger adjustable, low profile adjustment
knobs create a sleek profile. Knob
adjustments always reflect a change in
the point of impact, resulting in pinpoint
accuracy. Dial is resettable to zero once
sighted in.
•
High-Performance Glass. Provides
excellent brightness and clarity with lasting
durability – exactly what you expect from
Burris.
•
Multi-Coated Lenses. Enhanced low-light
performance and glare elimination, making
more shots possible and increasing your
success rate.

How to Use Your Fullfield IV Riflescope
Eyepiece Focusing
The eyepiece can be focused so that the reticle appears
sharp and black. Follow this procedure to quickly
adjust the focus:
1.
Point the scope at the sky or a plain wall and take a
quick glance through the scope. If the reticle appears
sharp and black, no further adjustment is necessary.
2.
If the reticle does not appear sharp and black, take
quick glances through the scope while rotating the
focus ring until the reticle pattern is sharp and black.
3. NOTE: Do not look through the eyepiece as you turn
the focus ring. Your eyes will adjust to the out-of-focus
condition.
Parallax/Focus Adjustment
—Applies to 4-16x and 6-24x models—
Parallax is the apparent movement of the reticle in
relation to the target when the eye is not directly in line
behind the center of the scope.
To use the parallax/focus adjustment, rotate the knob
on the left side of the adjustment turret until the target
image is sharply focused.
Windage/Elevation Adjustment
The adjustment knobs on Fullfield IV riflescopes feature
a finger adjustment for both windage and elevation.
The click values are shown on the top of each adjust-
ment knob. Once you have successfully zeroed your
scope, you can reset the zero on your dials with these
simple steps:
Hunter Style
1.
With turret caps removed, use a small hex head
wrench to loosen the two screws on the top of the
turret dial.
2.
Rotate the numbered dial to “0” and align with the
index triangle on the turret. Only the numbered dial
will move, not the knob top.
3.
Tighten the two screws until snug. Do not over tight-
en. Replace the turret cap.
Target Style
Once your scope is sighted-in, you
can reset knob to “0” with these
simple steps:
1.
Use the hex wrench supplied
with the scope to loosen the
screw on the top of turret.
2.
Pull up to rotate the turret cap
and align the “0” on the knob
with the index mark on the
2
4. scope tube. You should not be able to feel any clicks
as you rotate the knob.
3.
Replace the turret cap and tighten the screw.
NOTE: When securing the screws on turret caps, make
them snug but do not over tighten.
Illuminated Reticle Adjustment
– Select 2.5-10x, 3-12x and 4-16x models only –
Illumination makes it easier to see the reticle in low light
conditions. The intensity of the illumination is controlled
by a rotary illumination switch located on the left side
of the adjustment turret.
The switch has 11 intensity levels and an “Off” position
in between each level. The reticle is powered by a
3-volt lithium cell battery #CR2032.
To install a new battery, simply unscrew the battery
cap on the rotary switch and
install the new battery flat side
(+) up. Remove the battery
for long-term storage (over a
month).
Mounting the Scope
We recommend using high-quality rings and bases,
like Burris Zee Rings or Signature Rings. Depending
upon the model purchased, your Fullfield IV riflescope
will use either 1 or 30mm rings.
Care Maintenance
Fullfield IV riflescopes are fully waterproof and
fogproof. In the event that the lenses are subjected to
dust, dirt or mud, the most convenient way to clean a
lens surface is to use a Lens Pen. Position the scope so
particles will fall away from the lens, and then use the
Lens Pen or soft brush to gently whisk away the debris
while blowing on the lens to dislodge the particles. For
heavy dirt, like dried mud, use a spray of clean water
or lens cleaning fluid to remove the dirt.
Never disassemble your scope. Disassembly by anyone
other than our factory will void the warranty. If you
have any other problems with your riflescope, contact
Burris Customer Service.
