ABOUT NICE inContact: inContact keeps customer service agents in touch with customers. The company provides call center software and an enterprise-class telecom network for a complete customer service operation.
…Your Excel experience reminds me of a customer of ours in Salt Lake City, InContact. They were acquired in 2016 by NICE Systems, Inc.
Nice mandated utilization of their aging Hyperion instance, which, as you can imagine requires a ton of manual Excel processes.
Their models were a fragile mess. InContact had 5 financial analysts, but only one could be in the Excel model at a time. Simple edits, such as a headcount change would take 5-7 minutes to open the spreadsheet, and another 5-7 to actually save the change. Finance was enabled to be agile.
It got so bad that out of desperation InContact senior leadership white-boarded their 2017 budget on cocktail napkins.
Without effective models or drivers, they missed their Q1 ’2017 guidance by 19%, resulting in millions of dollars lost!
THEIR Solution was to migrate to Adaptive Insights in August 2017, wherein they implemented in six weeks.
The parent provided criteria, and mandated a budget within 24 hours, no questions asked, no do-overs.
inContact successfully completed the budget in 22 hours with Adaptive, and fell within .1% of their Q1 ’18 forecast, saving the company over $400k in the first quarter using Adaptive.
Needless to say, the Executive team is fully on-board, and they especially love the speed and consistency of Office Connect, wherein they update a monthly slide deck of 30 slides inside 20 seconds.
Financial analysts are enabled to do their best work and they’re now a greener company - Executives no longer plan on COCKTAIL NAPKINS!
I can sum it up with one quote. Their CFO, Ray Langhaim stated that OfficeConnect ‘is the best financial reporting he’s ever seen.’
With the new Changes coming, Cisco focused really hard on simplifying our portfolio and streamlining our solutions. When you are speaking with your customers, its important to convey the following messaging:
We have a solution for Calling, Meetings, Team Collaboration and Customer Care, all supported in both the Cloud, On Premise or a Mix. We have award winning video and IP Phone devices to choose from, and enterprise grade security throughout our platform all the way down to the end points. Our cloud solutions allow for Open API and SDK integrations to customize to your business needs.
This is it…a GREEN JOIN BUTTON…..
I know what your thinking….
How is this going to impact my users?
How will this bring me to collaboration NIRVANA?
Let me ask a question…Does this look simple?
Do you think if all your users had to do to join a meeting was to click this button they could perform that task?
Even the laggards? Yes…of course than can..(click)
So let’s see does the Green Join Button meet all the criteria we laid out?
One behavior change…Low effort and motivation….act as a foundation and gateway to the future change…check…..
I’m getting a bit of a Skeptical on the gateway to future work…Let me show you how this works….
We announced the new Webex Assistant in November and have now expanded the EFT across the entire Room portfolio (announced only on Room 70).
A smart digital assistant can take away some of the more mundane tasks to make collaboration go more smoothly.
Start your meeting without any typing or dialing.
Quickly call anyone in your orognaization, Join yourown Cisco WebEx personal meeting room or a co-workers room, Control your Cisco Webex device.
Another layer of intelligence we are delivering is noise suppression for cloud-connected video devices.
So if you are sitting in a room with one of our devices and there is a lot of background noise and that room isn’t the main presenter at the time, the system will automatically suppress the noise so the meeting isn’t disrupted – all without the user needing to do anything.
Connecting people is more than just about seeing each other – it’s about getting the job done quickly.
So we have made meeting rooms smarter with the Room Kits.
Smart Starts
The Spark Room 70 makes connecting people exceptionally easy, minimizing those frustrating slow starts.
Smart API & Metrics
Means advanced features like facial recognition enables people count in the diagnostics for smart resource planning.
Smart Presentation
See content clearly even as you see the reactions of participants.
Smart Integration
Integration that enables ease of control for smart offices.
The diagnostic mode shows how artificial intelligence can be applied pragmatically today for resource planning, with exciting future possibilities for automating room content through facial recognition.
At the core we have a high performing face detection module. Keeps track of people. Knows head direction.
We utilize audio triangulation (using the dedicated86 embedded microphones) to pinpoint the speaking participant.Audio triangulation indicated by double green frame when speaking.
People count, «endpoint as a platform»The system can be used to get additional information from the room. Microphones are the ears and detects when people enter the room and wakes up the system. Camera is the eyes and can count the number of people in the room. This can replace other room sensors traditionally used to capture room and meeting data (old fashion sensors in the chairs or under the table or manual labor documenting meeting statistics). The information is sent back to the management system, Spark or TMS (or Third Party SW).
-----------------
Details: Audio distance: 1.90 = distance to speaking participant Quality: 0.58 = quality of voice detection, scale is from 0.00 to 1.00 Far end: 0 = different from 0 if far end is speaking F. 0.0% = detected voice T: 86.4 = non-noise U: 0.0% = ultrasound detected N: 0.0% = silence S: 235 = number of samples from sound algorithm
Intelligent framing delivers both same room and next gen experience for the clearest communication.
Best view identifies where people are sitting in a room and frames them. For example when only a few people are in a large room.
Speaker tracking frames the speaker.
We are also providing new ways for teams to create and communicate across our portfolio.
Now everyone can participate in white boarding in the meeting and the workspace (after the meeting) with the alignment in white boarding functionality across portfolio of cloud connected devices gives all users a way to participate.
What’s new (in addition to the Webex Board):
DX Series: White boarding and annotation capabilities are now supported on the DX Series, just like Webex Board.
Room Series: When a whiteboard is shared from a Cisco DX, Board or the app, it appears on the Room Series natively as content; Room Series endpoints can then interact with that content through the app on mobile or desktop device.
SX & MX Series: Receives notification of shared whiteboard on the Touch 10; SX and MX-Series users can view the whiteboard and participate with it in the app.
Transition: the next element of a more intuitive meeting experiences extends easy to use human experiences with intelligent and adaptive solutions

Webex Teams includes messaging - enabling 1:1 and team persistent messaging & content sharing and collaboration.
Let’s look at that…
Cisco Webex® Teams is an app for continuous teamwork. With Webex Teams, create secure virtual work spaces with anyone where you can work on projects from start to finish, solve problems, and create stronger relationships. Get things started with messaging and file sharing. Express your ideas on whiteboards that others can add to. Seamlessly use high-quality video meetings and make calls. Even keep up to date with what’s happening in other apps. Anytime, anywhere, on virtually any device. When it’s time to meet, Webex Teams gives everyone an equal seat at the table. Any member of a space can start an instant or scheduled meeting, with the ability to mute attendees when needed, add meeting guests, and record the meeting. And everything that’s shared during a meeting is kept in the connected space for easy review later. When teamwork flows into physical rooms, bring the Webex Teams experience with you. Simply pair the app to a Webex device to join your meetings, share your screen, capture life-sized whiteboard drawings, and more. That's Webex Teams. Moving work forward for all your teamwork. Are you in?

The Collaboration Flex Plan is a simple subscription for your users for Calling, Meetings - or both - that also includes Cisco Webex Teams.
In March we announced the new Cisco Collaboration Flex Plan which is an evolution of the Cisco Spark Flex Plan. With the Collaboration Flex Plan, you subscribe once, then deploy the way you want. You can choose on-premises, hosted and/or cloud calling options. Calling in the Flex Plan can be purchased via an Enterprise Agreement, or the newly added Named User option. Together these options will allow you to get started, and scale to deployments of any size. The Calling options available today in Collaboration Flex Plan are:
On Premises – any of our CUCM based solutions
Hosted – HCS
Cloud – Webex Calling
[Note to speaker if asked…..]
Q. Will BroadSoft offerings be available in Collaboration Flex Plan?
A. For Cisco FYQ4, we are focused on “business as usual” for all Cisco based calling offers, as well as BroadSoft. More information will come as we approach FY19.
We have been the leader in voice for over 20 years….and
95% of businesses are running their companies on Cisco because we have a proven and reliable architecture and solution offering.
We also have the most collaboration customers in the industry with over 87 Million End Points, 3.5+M CC Agents, 5+B Cisco WebEx and 30+ Jabber (soft clients)
Invest $6B in Annual R&D- more than all of our competitors combined. You get access to the latest feature functionality, staying ahead of the trends
Cisco is the ONLY company on the planet to deliver end to end voice portfolio from UC, Video, Conferencing, End Points.
Collaboration Solutions focused across all major Vertical Markets/ Industies.
With no one company able to supply and support a full Next Generation Meetings deployment, a customer must rely on multiple companies. Rather than an integrated solution built from the ground up to work together, our competitors offer bits and pieces that are stitched together to form a system.
And what if things go wrong? Who is the one entity that will pull the rest together and assure they function as promised?
Then we have the Cisco Next Gen Meeting solution. Everything from a single company designed to work together from the ground to the cloud. All riding on a Cisco Network that is designed to support it.
One call shifts the issue from the customer to Cisco. We take it from there and won’t stop until the system works as promised.
Cisco has a wide array of customer references and this is just a SNAP SHOT of names you may recognize who are running their contact centers on Cisco, these are Large ISP/ Enterprise companies like T Mobile, Verizon Direct TV to businesses like Moline Healthcare in OC and Hospitality and Luxury Resort customers like MGM and Vail Resorts.
We are happy to provide reference visits by request.
