and agree on the list of Skilful Professionals that
are required to BUILD A HOUSE, CORPORATE
OFFICE or A STADIUM.
• Materials: A Marker pen, 2 sheets of Flip Chart
Paper and tape.
• Time: 30 minutes
• Instructions: Choose a Leader and a Scribe to
write your distillates for presentation.

What is Skillset?
• SKILLS can be defined as social, technical, and digital
tools used by professionals to increase effectiveness in
the workforce.
• A skill set is a particular category of skills or abilities
necessary to perform a job.
• Examples of specific skill sets include human relations,
research and planning, leadership, management, and
computer skills.

What Types of Skill Sets
Are There?
• There are several types of skill sets. Skill sets can be
considered soft or hard.
• Soft skills are interpersonal, or people, skills. They are
difficult to quantify, and relate to a person’s personality and
ability to work with others. Soft skills include
communication, critical thinking, and conflict resolution etc.
• Hard skills are quantifiable and teachable; they include
specific knowledge and abilities required for a job. Examples
of hard skills include computer programming, accounting,
mathematics, and data analysis.

with which a church leader, minister
approaches a situation.
➢….as the attitudes, beliefs, and expectations
you hold that act as the foundation of who
you are, how you lead, and the ways in which
you interact with your team.

➢The MINDSET refers to the world view of an
individual or to the manner in which they
perceive life and the attitude that they have
towards it.
➢Unlike skills, a mindset cannot really be
acquired while sitting in a classroom.

if you don’t have the required tool in hand.
➢The mindset is what helps you reach your goal by
working with what you have. Imagine your
SKILLSETS as a tool box. Each skill you’ve acquired
can be used in a particular situation. It is mindset

leaders to desperately acquire new mindsets and
new ways of looking at this gospel work.
• The fall of KODAK, NOKIA, BLOCKBUSTER &
BORDERBOOKS was due to the wrong mindset of
their leaders.
• These companies did not fail due to a lack of
technical know-how.

PLA What is Skillset? • SKILLS can be defined as social, technical, and digital tools used by professionals to increase effectiveness in the workforce. • A skill set is a particular category of skills or abilities necessary to perform a job. • Examples of specific skill sets include human relations, research and planning, leadership, management, and computer skills.
  • 17. PLA What Types of Skill Sets Are There? • There are several types of skill sets. Skill sets can be considered soft or hard. • Soft skills are interpersonal, or people, skills. They are difficult to quantify, and relate to a person’s personality and ability to work with others. Soft skills include communication, critical thinking, and conflict resolution etc. • Hard skills are quantifiable and teachable; they include specific knowledge and abilities required for a job. Examples of hard skills include computer programming, accounting, mathematics, and data analysis.
