Basically if someone wants to have a go at doing something (work, sport, art, whatever), then they should be given a fair opportunity. The opportunity to attempt or achieve something without bias or limitations.

2. Having a Fair Go - 2 Stories of overcoming obstacles
“Having a Fair Go”
It means to give somebody a reasonable chance at something; to treat them fairly. It's implied
that, if you give them fair go, they are being treated fairly and equally - an idea that is central
to Australian culture.
Basically if someone wants to have a go at doing something (work, sport, art, whatever), then
they should be given a fair opportunity. The opportunity to attempt or achieve something
without bias or limitations.
Let’s all have a fair go at:
• mutual respect
• tolerance
• compassion for those in need
• equality of opportunity for all

18. Notes to Speakers
Thank you for joining our PMI European International Women’s Day Event.
We wanted to provide this formatted presentation to provide unity and continuity to each presentation, so
please do use this format for your talk.
Talk Details:
Our goal is to provide a Ted talk style approach to our sessions.
We will have a 12 hour Event on 8 March, so are looking for sessions that focus on:
Inspire – share an insight, idea or data point to hook participants on your topic.
Enable – giving a feeling of power in the hands of our participants.
Engage – ask questions that participants can answer in the online chat. Look for questions you can answer in
the Q&A section.
Mobilize – one practical action you can suggest based on your topic.
• Each talk will last 20 mins (except for plenary talks), so please prepare content to fit this timeframe.
• All talks must end on time to allow participants to move to the next event.
• Please plan to use 3-5 minutes of your 20 minutes to answer Q&A from the attendees.
• If you session is pre-recorded use the full 20 minutes, and join the live session to answer Q&A chat from
attendees during your session.
• If your session is live, have a moderator onsite with the speaker to review Q&A as the talk progresses
• We suggest the moderator watch the clock and select relevant questions for the speaker to address.
19. Notes to Speakers
Thank you for joining our PMI European International Women’s Day Event.
Presentation Details:
• Our goal for this year to give participates a topic aligned with the 2023 Theme.
• It helps to start with a 'hook' something to get your audience interested and understand
what you are going to talk about.
• Then give them a take away, a new idea or insight they personally can use going forward.
• Our draft slides use our logos and have a reference to the aspect of your talk:
Please consider when and how to use them as you move through the slides.
• Slides work best when focused on data, graphics, and visuals to make your point.
• Use 18 Font minimum.
• Minimal text will help the audience focus on the key point and the speakers words.
We wish you a successful International Women’s Day!
