3. • Use when situation that progress while
speaking and end in the future
• Use the adverbs of time such as now, at the
moment, right now, at present etc.
Example : She is going to the supermarket
at the moment.
4. • Use when situation that going to happen in
the future
– Example : I am meeting my boss this evening
• Confidently that will happening in the future
- He is going to China tonight.
5. • Use when the situation happen again such as
always and constantly.
– Example : She is always coming to class late
6. • Some verb that can’t use in present continuous tense
– Abstract Verbs - to be, to want, to cost, to seem,
to need, to care, to contain etc.
– Emotion Verbs- to like, to love, to hate, to dislike,
to fear, to envy, to mind etc.
– Possession Verbs - possess, have, own, belong
7. • Example: I smell something bad.(correct)
* I am smelling something bad.
I believe her. (correct)
* I am believing her.
She has no children. (correct)
* She is having no children
8. Will/Be going to
- Taking about future action.
- But their use different form.
9. Will - You didn’t plan it before. You
accept to do something in that time.
Ex. A: Will you do dinner with me?
B: Yes, I will.
