If not now, then when?
O
nce an unhappy young
man came to an old
master and told he had
a very sad life and asked for a
solution.
The old Master instructed the
unhappy young man to put a
handful of salt in a glass of water
and then to drink it.
“How does it taste?” – The Master
asked.
“Terrible.” – spat the apprentice.
The Master chuckled and then
asked the young man to take
another handful of salt and put
it in the lake. The two walked
in silence to the nearby lake and
when the apprentice swirled his
handful of salt into the lake.
The old man said, “Now drink
from the lake.”
As the water dripped down the
young man’s chin, the Master
asked, “How does it taste?”
“Good!” – remarked the
apprentice.
“Do you taste the salt?” – asked
the Master.
“No.” – said the young man.
The Master sat beside this
troubled young man, took his
hands, and said, “The pain of life
is pure salt; no more, no less. The
amount of pain in life remains
the same, exactly the same. But
the amount we taste the ‘pain’
depends on the container we put it
into. So when you are in pain, the
only thing you can do is to enlarge
your sense of things. Stop being a
glass. Become a lake.”

“You will not be punished for your anger; you will be punished by your anger.”
T
he important question is
not whether we are doing
the best. The question is,
are we doing our best? I think this
much responsibility we all have
towards ourselves. I must do what
I can.
In my opinion the worst human
emotion is Guilt. It kills. One of
the main reasons for guilt is to
know that I’ve not done what I
could have. So, to save ourselves
from this worst emotion and its
consequences let us resolve to
give our best. I am certainly not
asking to be the Best; my only
suggestion is to do Our Best! As
you cannot hire someone to do
your push-ups, similar you need
to perform your own duties to the
fullest possible manner.
Do you best and leave the rest.
Generally people like the latter
part of the statement as it is easy
to implement. But before leaving
the rest you need to ensure that
you do your best.
Satisfaction is a word in which
Satis (first five letter) is a Latin
word which means enough. So,
the exact meaning of satisfaction
means that a feeling which arises
putting in enough action. “Ev-
eryone can’t be great but every-
one can do whatever they do with
greatness.” So, let us do our best
and keep making it better every
day.
Choices - Alisha JainExcerpts from Suresh Semwal’s Book -‘Power of Responsibility’
W
e all have laughed on
the career graph of
‘actor’ Uday Chopra.
He debuted with a blockbuster
movie, Mohabbatein, showing off
his abs and muscles. He acted in
many movies but couldn’t achieve
that stardom every actor aspires
for. And the time he realised (that
is just few years before) that he is
not made to act, he decided to take
the other road. Now he is learning
to direct movies from a foreign
school in a foreign place. But that
is not the point of concern. I am
not even concerned if he becomes
a good director or not. My only
matter of concern is the amount
of hard work and the principles
on which he has survived in the
industry for so long.
Being the son of the great director
of Hindi cinema, Late Mr. Yash
Chopra, he could have just come
on the sets, bad attitude, bragging
about his father’s power in the in-
dustry. But he didn’t do that. He
worked hard like any other would
do to look good on screen, learnt
the way to behave on sets.
So we can laugh on how much a
loser he is, but the only fact is, he
was just working in a wrong di-
rection. Just like many of us are
still doing. Though his reasons to
retire as an actor could vary but
the base is almost same. And it
is appreciable that Mr. Chopra
didn’t stop. He entered into new
area of knowledge, even after ac-
knowledging the fact that he can
live a peaceful life doing nothing
and by just spending his father’s
money.
Many of us crib about not suc-
ceeding even after working hard,
there’s just one reason behind it;
we work hard to prove somebody
or something and may be not be-
cause we love the task. Yes, it is
important to work hard and there
are some tasks which are said to
be ‘boring’ and you are forced to
do them in order to achieve some-
thing but let me tell you one thing
my friend, if there’s positive ap-
proach, service mindset, passion
to do something and willingness
to do it, then there’s no such work
one would not enjoy doing.
The only way to do a great work, is to love what you do!!

“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it”
M
any people oppose to
this idea of creating a
strategy in life. They
believe that life has its own
course. You can’t get everything
you want by your strategy. I agree
with it partially because when I
urge you to create a strategy for
life I do not consider the outcomes
only. I emphasize on the ways to
live life. You create a particular
way to live life. It can be your
habits, it can be your contribution
to society, and it can be the way
you communicate. There must
be way of doing everything
whether you identify it or not.
Yes, we can’t ignore outcomes.
We can neither control it. What
we can control is our efforts
towards it. We can control the
way we march forward in life.
We are going forward in life
for sure. We are getting older
for sure. Now the options are
whether you move forward in
life randomly or with a strategy.
When you move with strategy
in life, it brings confidence and
conviction. It also increases your
chances of getting what you
want. Moreover you can make
correction if you have a strategy
at hand. If you don’t have any
strategy then you have no clue
what you should change. Having
a strategy helps you measuring
and monitoring your progress.
Measuring and monitoring are
effective tools of realization.
Thus create a strategy. Do not
move randomly, move with a
strategy accompanied by humility.
I
can’t count how many times
in my life I’ve said “I can’t”
whether it is about reach-
ing office on time, delivering
a presentation, writing an ar-
ticle, playing or doing anything
that is out of my comfort zone.
It happens because we are in a
habit of feeding ourselves with all
sorts of negative thoughts like “I
can’t do this”, “I can’t do that” or
“I could do this but it is impossi-
ble”. It gives nothing but a head-
ache. Still, we continue to look at
limitations rather than possibili-
ties and it is quite natural that we
miss out numerous opportunities
because we freeze ourselves with
these thoughts, “I can’t”, I am
unable etc. We even refuse to try
new things because we limit our-
selves from the very start with our
own unrealistic perspective that it
is impossible to perform, though
it wasn’t really impossible.
No doubt, few things are out of
our control but what is in our
control is how we talk to our-
selves because we talk almost
all the time and we have lot of
influence of it. And if we talk
negatively to ourselves, it make
us feel more awful and make a
difficult situation even worse.
Don’t you think if we accept the
fact that yes I am late and instead
of worrying and talking negative
to ourselves, finding a way to turn
the experience into a positive one
isn’t it a better option? And the
best way to flip from negative to
positive is to recognize what we
are talking to ourselves and then
oppose the negative thoughts
with the positive one. We can do
it by listening some good music
firstly and calm down ourselves
by doing some deep breathing.
And then, we could have used the
time to think about the things that
can contribute in the presentation
to make it better and how we are
going to deliver it. We can read
books, article or newspaper to im-
prove our writing skills and so on.
So, it is very important that we
should avoid talking negative to
ourselves, if we want to lead our
lives happily with a positive atti-
tude and a happy frame of mind.

Filling - Fulfiling - Mahak vaish
Why you think I am writing this
article irrespective of thinking
that how many would read it?
The only answer I can find for
this is that - I get fulfillment af-
ter I write this, not just I want to
fill anything to my spare time. I
have heard many married women
saying that just to keep me busy, I
am working and when they work
they curse the work. The reason
is not that the company is bad,
peers are bad or the work is not
up to the mark, the real reason is
that they are somewhere just fill-
ing them, killing their time, as
their real satisfaction and fulfill-
ment lies somewhere else. Most
of the times in life we work just
for the sake of doing it and after a
while we complain that the work
is still not finished, the desired
outcome has not been achieved,
the expected destination is still far
away. This is because somewhere
yes we are busy and occupied but
not doing the things in the fashion
which should and we can. For ex-
ample - If someone is hungry, as a
solution to this he can have fruits
or a nutritious meal which is an
absolute justice and a real fulfill-
ment however he prefers to have
junk food over it and that intake is
a filling only. Another example –
A child who is very passionate to-
wards cricket and can do wonders
in the same, prefers to opt for the
field where his friends are mov-
ing, and he chooses that stream
and takes admission in the same
i.e.no doubt that he would be
busy and occupied but he cannot
unleash his potential this way. He
could taste the real contentment
and can feel fulfilled only when he
could have opted for cricket and
could have earned name and fame
in the same. We need to check and
ask one question certainly to our-
selves- are we using time wisely,
are we taking wise steps, are we
doing those acts which can give
us a feeling of contentment, a
feeling of fulfillment. We all need
to decide for ourselves what the
fulfillment really looks like to us.
Adding the no. of items in our to
do list does not means that we can
doing it a right way, does not nec-
essarily guarantee effectiveness
what matters is how effectively
we have done each task, We can
all create a reality that is not just a
means but an end in itself. It starts
by asking ourselves a few very
important questions to be sure our
efforts support our true intentions,
to give us a feel of contentment, a
feel of fulfillment-
• Your real accomplish-
ment?
• What are your deepest
passions and what can you do
about it.
• How much time can you
invest on those things which per-
haps may not give you money, but
fulfillment?
We need to remember always one
thing that- If we keep repeating to
raise a step upward and again put-
ting it downward, can certainly
keep us busy but for sure it will
make us to move ahead.

  • 2. LEARN WITH FUN  SEP 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM If not now, then when? O nce an unhappy young man came to an old master and told he had a very sad life and asked for a solution. The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. “How does it taste?” – The Master asked. “Terrible.” – spat the apprentice. The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake. The old man said, “Now drink from the lake.” As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the Master asked, “How does it taste?” “Good!” – remarked the apprentice. “Do you taste the salt?” – asked the Master. “No.” – said the young man. The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the ‘pain’ depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things. Stop being a glass. Become a lake.” Salt, Glass of Water and the Lake Y ou see a gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and say, “I am very rich. Marry me!” That’s Direct Marketing. • 3. LEARN WITH FUN  SEP 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM “You will not be punished for your anger; you will be punished by your anger.” T he important question is not whether we are doing the best. The question is, are we doing our best? I think this much responsibility we all have towards ourselves. I must do what I can. In my opinion the worst human emotion is Guilt. It kills. One of the main reasons for guilt is to know that I’ve not done what I could have. So, to save ourselves from this worst emotion and its consequences let us resolve to give our best. I am certainly not asking to be the Best; my only suggestion is to do Our Best! As you cannot hire someone to do your push-ups, similar you need to perform your own duties to the fullest possible manner. Do you best and leave the rest. Generally people like the latter part of the statement as it is easy to implement. But before leaving the rest you need to ensure that you do your best. Satisfaction is a word in which Satis (first five letter) is a Latin word which means enough. So, the exact meaning of satisfaction means that a feeling which arises putting in enough action. “Ev- eryone can’t be great but every- one can do whatever they do with greatness.” So, let us do our best and keep making it better every day. Choices - Alisha JainExcerpts from Suresh Semwal’s Book -‘Power of Responsibility’ W e all have laughed on the career graph of ‘actor’ Uday Chopra. He debuted with a blockbuster movie, Mohabbatein, showing off his abs and muscles. He acted in many movies but couldn’t achieve that stardom every actor aspires for. And the time he realised (that is just few years before) that he is not made to act, he decided to take the other road. Now he is learning to direct movies from a foreign school in a foreign place. But that is not the point of concern. I am not even concerned if he becomes a good director or not. My only matter of concern is the amount of hard work and the principles on which he has survived in the industry for so long. Being the son of the great director of Hindi cinema, Late Mr. Yash Chopra, he could have just come on the sets, bad attitude, bragging about his father’s power in the in- dustry. But he didn’t do that. He worked hard like any other would do to look good on screen, learnt the way to behave on sets. So we can laugh on how much a loser he is, but the only fact is, he was just working in a wrong di- rection. Just like many of us are still doing. Though his reasons to retire as an actor could vary but the base is almost same. And it is appreciable that Mr. Chopra didn’t stop. He entered into new area of knowledge, even after ac- knowledging the fact that he can live a peaceful life doing nothing and by just spending his father’s money. Many of us crib about not suc- ceeding even after working hard, there’s just one reason behind it; we work hard to prove somebody or something and may be not be- cause we love the task. Yes, it is important to work hard and there are some tasks which are said to be ‘boring’ and you are forced to do them in order to achieve some- thing but let me tell you one thing my friend, if there’s positive ap- proach, service mindset, passion to do something and willingness to do it, then there’s no such work one would not enjoy doing. The only way to do a great work, is to love what you do!!
  • 4. LEARN WITH FUN  SEP 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM “Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it” M any people oppose to this idea of creating a strategy in life. They believe that life has its own course. You can’t get everything you want by your strategy. I agree with it partially because when I urge you to create a strategy for life I do not consider the outcomes only. I emphasize on the ways to live life. You create a particular way to live life. It can be your habits, it can be your contribution to society, and it can be the way you communicate. There must be way of doing everything whether you identify it or not. Yes, we can’t ignore outcomes. We can neither control it. What we can control is our efforts towards it. We can control the way we march forward in life. We are going forward in life for sure. We are getting older for sure. Now the options are whether you move forward in life randomly or with a strategy. When you move with strategy in life, it brings confidence and conviction. It also increases your chances of getting what you want. Moreover you can make correction if you have a strategy at hand. If you don’t have any strategy then you have no clue what you should change. Having a strategy helps you measuring and monitoring your progress. Measuring and monitoring are effective tools of realization. Thus create a strategy. Do not move randomly, move with a strategy accompanied by humility. I can’t count how many times in my life I’ve said “I can’t” whether it is about reach- ing office on time, delivering a presentation, writing an ar- ticle, playing or doing anything that is out of my comfort zone. It happens because we are in a habit of feeding ourselves with all sorts of negative thoughts like “I can’t do this”, “I can’t do that” or “I could do this but it is impossi- ble”. It gives nothing but a head- ache. Still, we continue to look at limitations rather than possibili- ties and it is quite natural that we miss out numerous opportunities because we freeze ourselves with these thoughts, “I can’t”, I am unable etc. We even refuse to try new things because we limit our- selves from the very start with our own unrealistic perspective that it is impossible to perform, though it wasn’t really impossible. No doubt, few things are out of our control but what is in our control is how we talk to our- selves because we talk almost all the time and we have lot of influence of it. And if we talk negatively to ourselves, it make us feel more awful and make a difficult situation even worse. Don’t you think if we accept the fact that yes I am late and instead of worrying and talking negative to ourselves, finding a way to turn the experience into a positive one isn’t it a better option? And the best way to flip from negative to positive is to recognize what we are talking to ourselves and then oppose the negative thoughts with the positive one. We can do it by listening some good music firstly and calm down ourselves by doing some deep breathing. And then, we could have used the time to think about the things that can contribute in the presentation to make it better and how we are going to deliver it. We can read books, article or newspaper to im- prove our writing skills and so on. So, it is very important that we should avoid talking negative to ourselves, if we want to lead our lives happily with a positive atti- tude and a happy frame of mind. How do you live your life? - Tapas Dasmohapatra Why I can’t - Alisha Jain
  • 5. “If your compassion does not include yourself, it is incomplete.” LEARN WITH FUN  SEP 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM Life’s Lesson!!
  • 6. “You have to take the calculated risk, to earn something” LEARN WITH FUN  SEP 2015  WWW.POSSIBLERS.COM Filling - Fulfiling - Mahak vaish Why you think I am writing this article irrespective of thinking that how many would read it? The only answer I can find for this is that - I get fulfillment af- ter I write this, not just I want to fill anything to my spare time. I have heard many married women saying that just to keep me busy, I am working and when they work they curse the work. The reason is not that the company is bad, peers are bad or the work is not up to the mark, the real reason is that they are somewhere just fill- ing them, killing their time, as their real satisfaction and fulfill- ment lies somewhere else. Most of the times in life we work just for the sake of doing it and after a while we complain that the work is still not finished, the desired outcome has not been achieved, the expected destination is still far away. This is because somewhere yes we are busy and occupied but not doing the things in the fashion which should and we can. For ex- ample - If someone is hungry, as a solution to this he can have fruits or a nutritious meal which is an absolute justice and a real fulfill- ment however he prefers to have junk food over it and that intake is a filling only. Another example – A child who is very passionate to- wards cricket and can do wonders in the same, prefers to opt for the field where his friends are mov- ing, and he chooses that stream and takes admission in the same i.e.no doubt that he would be busy and occupied but he cannot unleash his potential this way. He could taste the real contentment and can feel fulfilled only when he could have opted for cricket and could have earned name and fame in the same. We need to check and ask one question certainly to our- selves- are we using time wisely, are we taking wise steps, are we doing those acts which can give us a feeling of contentment, a feeling of fulfillment. We all need to decide for ourselves what the fulfillment really looks like to us. Adding the no. of items in our to do list does not means that we can doing it a right way, does not nec- essarily guarantee effectiveness what matters is how effectively we have done each task, We can all create a reality that is not just a means but an end in itself. It starts by asking ourselves a few very important questions to be sure our efforts support our true intentions, to give us a feel of contentment, a feel of fulfillment- • Your real accomplish- ment? • What are your deepest passions and what can you do about it. • How much time can you invest on those things which per- haps may not give you money, but fulfillment? We need to remember always one thing that- If we keep repeating to raise a step upward and again put- ting it downward, can certainly keep us busy but for sure it will make us to move ahead.
