1) Jesus was crucified, fulfilling prophecies, and insulted while on the cross.
2) After saying "It is finished", he died, sacrificing himself to take away sins.
3) His body was taken down and buried in a new tomb by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus according to Jewish burial customs before the Sabbath.
