My name is Paolo Degoli. Since 1995 I'm involved in Retail market in Oil & Gas. My experience began in Nuovo Pignone SpA (NP), estabilished in 1842. NP played a role in 60s when, thanks to Giorgio La Pira, Eni group bought the business. In few years NP disposed 7 manufacturing facilities around Florence HQ, buying soon a part of international excellence in the field of compressors and turbines. NP was acquired by General Electric (GE) in 1993. The job experience in a Company with Eni culture enhanced with GE business model, was unique and a case study for big acquisition history in Europe.
