violent, abusive or intimidating behavior in
a relationship.

3. One in 3 women suffer from domestic violence.
18,000 women were killed due to domestic violence since
2003.
40-45% of women in physically abusive relationships
who are raped and/or assaulted during the relationship.
70% of women worldwide experience physical and/or
sexual abuse by an intimate partner during their lifetimes.
43% of women in 28 European Union Members State
experienced psychological problem.

Only female can be a victim
Adult male who are in the relationship is

Live-in relationship also protected.
Remedies
Inform the protection officer
File an application and make use of government
official's duties towards her.
Make use of shelter homes, medical facilities,
counselling if necessary.
5. One in 7 men suffer from domestic violence.
Every 9 mins a married men commit suicide.
48% of men have dealt with some sort of psychological
aggression by an intimate partner.
29% of men experience sexual abuse by the intimate partner .
23% of men experience some form of physical abuse by their
partner.
Violence against men is not recognized by the law
Nearly 98% of Domestic Violence case against men are fake.
