• Italy is the third largest contributor of ESA (European Space Agency):
370 million Euros have been invested by our country in 2007.
Total 2007 ESA budget: 3 billion Euros. Italian investment: 12.3%.
• Italy is one of the biggest supporter of ESA optional programs:
in 2005 our Country signed 21.5% of the programs presented by ESA.
• Italy is competitive in the main aerospace sectors.
(Galileo System, Cosmo-SkyMed, Vega, UAV, ATV, etc.)
• Starting from November 2008, Italy chairs the ESA Interministerial Council.
