As research continues to generate new spinout companies, they require a flexible and cost effective way of bringing services to life as required and with the SLA's and performance that they need for a cost that they can afford. This presentation walks through how Sanegr IT have created such a platform.

In June 2016 the first Bio-informatics incubator will open for business, with up to
30 new customer companies coming to Sanger.

For the main part, this is an aspect of the billing and business logic, but we need to assess how much is a minimum charge to re-coup
our costs
Combining TCO for compute, storage, networking as well as FTE and licensing, and estimated 80% capacity compute utilisation. This
provides the costings outlined below:
Charging model
This is still a work in progress, some license figures remain under discussion, but we could well achieve our “Cheaper
than Amazon” targets in some areas.
