Professional Achievements and Successes
Privacy Leadership
• As Privacy Officer for HP Business Groups and Global Functions,
responsible for all aspects of privacy across all of HP’s operating
units. This included planning and implementing a company-wide
program to comply with the HIPAA Omnibus Rule, also programs
to comply with emerging online behavioral advertising regulations
in the EU, Mexico and California.
• As EDS Chief Privacy Officer, worked extensively with global
clients in multiple regulated industries to ensure that privacy
contractual and regulatory requirements were addressed.
• As a managing privacy consultant, assisted major US companies
create and implement privacy programs to comply with
regulations such as GLBA, TCPA/CPNI, HIPAA, TSR and CAN
SPAM.
• As VP, Privacy CoE at NCR, led team of consultants to help
clients deploy Teradata data warehousing solutions which
complied with privacy regulations globally.
Technology and Business Planning/Development
• At EDS, led a team in the evaluation, selection and deployment of
a Data Loss Prevention solution. This involved engagement with
the EDS Executive Committee to solicit their support for an initial
trial, then a planned global deployment.
• At NCR, as a member of a three person team, worked with all of
NCR’s global development and regional organizations to develop
the Corporation’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
• As a Product Management Director, developed and implemented
the Business Plans to deploy new strategic hardware and
software products to the European region. This required
involvement with and approval from the company CEO and
President.
