Richard received an MSc in Micropalaeontology from London University in 1970 and immediately started as
a biostratigrapher in Llandudno, North Wales with Robertson Research International. He followed an
international career from the beginning, and worked for seven years in Singapore on a variety of projects
where biostratigraphy was combined with operations management responsibilities. Upon returning to the
UK, he led a dynamic team in creating innovative methods for stratigraphic analyses as well as reporting.

fundamental principles of efficient management of E & P Data and physical asset.
Fundamentals of E & P Data Management will be covered in a 4-days programme and Physical Asset

About your Expert Course Leader:

reporting. Subsequent secondments meant more international travel, training new staff members and growing the
geoscientist teams. Richard was drawn to data management through dealing with significant amounts of E&P data
throughout his career and observing first-hand, through his advice and consultancy expertise, many of the issues
for which CGG DMS can now offer solutions. He is one of our most experienced trainers and completed the PTLLS
(Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) training.
