2. I carried out a survey to get feedback from my target audience on my music magazine, I’ve made some graphs to show my results, shown here. I also spoke to Evil C the magazine cover artist as well as some other target audience members, I have video footage of this following. What age group do you think this magazine is aimed at? What genre of music do you think it focuses on? What sort of musician would you assume it is on the front cover were it shown without text?
3. I also asked a few other questions. I’ve displayed the results from those below: Would you say this is eye catching? Yes 92.3% No 7.7% Can you tell from the contents page and double page spread article that it is the same magazine from the layout? Yes 100% No 0% Does this magazine look like it would be displayed in a high street store? Yes 100% No 0% .I think overall most people could tell clearly the audience and genre of my magazine, which I think fulfils the purpose of a front cover. Although the decision to keep the record needle in the photograph lead to most people assuming he was a DJ, however the text clearly states he is a rapper and I believe the image is still appropriate because in the interview we speak in depth about how he’s been remixing his songs with other artists. Here is my video footage of Evil C giving feedback, I felt as he was already the cover article in my magazine some questions about genre would not of been appropriate.
