•Rescue package – response to BSF closure
•£169m for new school investment in Liverpool
•12 new schools by May 2016 – predominantly secondary and special schools
•Second phase of school refurbishment and primary schools
•3 contractors selected – Willmott Dixon, Kier, and Morgan Sindall
•Focus on quality of investment but also local spend, labour and apprenticeships

•Summer 2014 – 10 of the 12 schools either completed or
on site.
•No programme delays, no cost over runs, no quality
issues
•Average of 65% of spend with in the Liverpool City
Council boundary
•Average of 80% of spend within Merseyside
•75 apprenticeships contributed to / created
•£14m Basic Need Funding 2015/17, £34m Phase 2 LSIP
•Client of the Year Award at recent Northwest
