Reliance Mutual Fund, a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani (ADA) Group, is one of
the fastest growing mutual funds in India. RMF offers investors a well-rounded portfolio of

Reliance Mutual Fund (RMF) has been established as a trust under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882
with Reliance Capital Limited (RCL), as the Settler/Sponsor and Reliance Capital Trustee Co.
Limited (RCTC), as the Trustee.
Reliance Mutual Fund has been registered with the Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI)
vide registration number MF/022/95/1 dated June 30, 1995. The name of Reliance Capital
Mutual Fund was changed to Reliance Mutual Fund effective March 11,2004 vide SEBI's letter
no. IMD/PSP/4958/2004 dated March 11,2004. RMF was formed to launch various schemes
under which units are issued to the public with a view to contribute to the capital market and to
provide investors the opportunities to make investments in diversified securities.
The Main Objectives of RMF are:
 To carry on the activity of a mutual fund as many be permitted at law and formulate and
devise various collective scheme of savings and investments for people in India and
abroad and also ensure liquidity of investment for unit holders
 To deploy funds thus raised so as to help the unit holders earn reasonable returns on their
savings.
 To take such steps as may be necessary from time to time to realize the effects without
any limitation

 Type of scheme: An open ended notified tax savings cum pension scheme.
 Investment Objective: The investment objective of the scheme is to provide capital
appreciation and consistent income to the investors which will be in line with their
retirement goals by investing in an equity oriented portfolio. The fund attempts to invest
primarily in the large cap space with some allocations to good quality mid-cap
companies. The fund endeavors to provide a superior wealth creation alternative for
investors who are in the accumulation phase i.e seeking to create a retirement corpus
during their pre-retirement phase.

 Type: Open Ended Power Sector Scheme
 Date of Allotment: May 8 , 2004
 Investment Objective: It is an investment opportunity to participate in India’s key drivers
of sustainable growth by investing in securities of companies in the power sector. The
portfolio has adequate diversification within power sector by spreading investment over a
large range of companies. The fund provides opportunities within the sector, with focused
approach and flexibility to invest in power distribution, transmission and generation

 Type of Scheme: Equity- Tax Saver
 Investment Objective: Seek to maintain balance between large cap and mid cap
companies. Endeavors to invest in potential leaders. Invest in companies with potential of
high growth prospects over medium term. Generally the funds has two or three sector
calls at a time. They are mostly in in line of emerging arket trends. Small percentage of
portfolio is invested in constrain calls. Significant percent of outstanding equity of the
scheme is invested in high conviction mid cap companies. Significant allocations is taken
in MNC.Attempt to have a balanced portfolio on macro basis, allocating to themes like
domestic, consumption and Defensive.

  • 1. Reliance Mutual Fund, a part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani (ADA) Group, is one of the fastest growing mutual funds in India. The name of Reliance Capital Mutual Fund was changed to Reliance Mutual Fund effective March 11,2004 vide SEBI's letter no. IMD/PSP/4958/2004 dated March 11,2004. RMF was formed to launch various schemes under which units are issued to the public with a view to contribute to the capital market and to provide investors the opportunities to make investments in diversified securities.
