SMART Goals
•The goal is expressed in detail.
•It is not open to misinterpretation.Specific
•How will you know when you have achieved it?
•What evidence will there be?Measurable
•The goal must be realistic, but provide enough challenge to
stretch people.
•The goal must be within the control of the individual.
Achievable
•The goal must be relevant to your role, and the business
objectives.
•Goals that are not relevant will quickly become depriotisied.
Relevant
•The goal must have a deadline or timescale attached to it.
•This gives the goal a sense or urgency, and states when the
expected benefits should be achieved.
