Work Experience
Amazon | Software Development Engineer ( Mar 2015 Present )
• Associate DataFeeds System: Working on system to provide data needed (feeds) to associate
which alone drives a traffic of 10% to Amazon. It include multiple component regarding
generation of feeds, keeping the data updated, tracking the traffic directed by process and
provide a mechanism of making it accessible for associates.
Synup | Software Engineer ( July 2014 Feb 2015 )
• Information extraction from web pages: Designed and implemented an algorithm for
extracting basic information(name, address, phone, website etc) of a business from web pages.
Improved the accuracy of existing older system by 40%.
• Real time scan tool: Designed and implemented distributed system which lets user look up his
location’s listing on multiple sites in real time using frameworks like akka and spray.
2. Inzane Labs | Software Engineering Intern ( Jan June 2014 )
• iOS Development: Developed Simple Chat App using firebase and core data. Also Developed a
simple Tweetbot like Twitter App using which user is capable of tweeting, retweeting and see
his/her own and friend’s tweets and implemented Facebook Paper like interactions before it was
open sourced.
• Hierarchical and Temporal Aggregation for Real Time Analytics: Architected and
developed a software for real time analytics based on hierarchical and temporal aggregation
inspired by Twitter’s Rainbird. It was able to analyse multi dimensional rolled up data over any
measurable counting data. Analysis was done with respect to time span as well as hierarchies
contained in the data.
D.E. Shaw | Software Engineering Intern ( May July 2013 )
• Evaluation of Apache CXF and JBoss RestEasy: Evaluated two frameworks Apache CXF and
JBoss Resteasy for restful web services based on the functionality provided and ease of use and
drew a conclusion in terms of better framework to use. These frameworks are for developing
restful web services and evaluation was done with respect to the company’s internal framework.
Projects
• Topic Extraction from Web Articles ( July - Dec 2013 )
Delegated to code Online LDA algorithm for Topic Extraction on Crawled Data. Crawling was
assigned to other teammate. LDA algorithm is a probabilistic algorithm that gives each words
from a document a probability of being in a particular given topic.
• Metadata Extractor and Redundancy Checker ( July - Dec 2012 )
We Coded a software that was able to extract the metadata from PDFs of various books and
changed the format in standard Dublin core format. Software was also able to check the
redundancy on the basis of metadata using approximate string matching algorithm and phonetic
algorithm.
CoCurricular Activity

• Have been an active participant of various online programming contests and discussion forums
• Singing, Dancing and Swimming
• Photography
