I was heading the Engineering Operations of the newly opened (October 2012), 201 room property
in Chennai as Director of Engineering. I was to take on Hospitality industry operations, including
Project Management, Personnel and Technical Management.

My primary duty is to ensure the smooth daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel. Within the
hotel, I may direct the maintenance staff on small repairs, such as patching drywall, fixing faulty
wiring, or unclogging drains. More complex problems may require me to consult blueprints or
product manuals in order to fix boilers or air-conditioning motors. I may also assign staff to repair
sprinklers or instruct grounds crew to maintain outside landscaping. I may also manage
maintenance workers and participate in hiring, training and mentoring staff. For example, I may
train a worker on how to properly install a faucet. Additionally, I might evaluate a staff member's
cumulative performance, noting areas for improvement. Lastly, budget material and labour
expenses and submit these assessments to the hotel General Manager.

SINA, The vessel is a product tanker of DWT 73338 Tonnes.
My next posting was joining at San Francisco on M.T.HIGH PROSPERITY, same oil tanker
Product carrier.
My first posting with Fleet Management was joining at Colombo, Sri Lanka for the repairs of M.T
Sadanand; the vessel was docked in the shipyard. The vessel was a crude oil tanker.
