2. Project #1: FAST (First American Software Technology) DWH

Description:
First American India is one of the major Title Insurance Company in US Which provides different Applications
for the use of storing the Title Insurance data from different sources, The main aim of project is to give the
ownership to the customer from others property after claiming all the liens, judgments and Bankruptcies.
There are multiple sources of information about the Company’s customers, coverage’s, covered items and
Policies. This project acts as a centralized Data Repository for Policies, Priors, Deeds, and information about
the Taxes and claims from different Counties. The Data from the different Customers on the different
Property is scanned in the FAST application which is used to derive the Finalized Reports on the Property and
also this Project helps the customers in terms of Getting Property without any Claims. The data in the DWH is
processed into OLAP data marts for reporting and analysis purposes.
Informatica used as an ETL Tool for loading data into the data warehouse from different sources and the date
integrated from the Various sources such as OLTP databases and flat files.
Responsibilities:

create the Reports. The EWB (Examiner Workbench) uses to determine the Taxes, Legal Description of the
Property based on the type of property customer having. This application pushes the Commitment or Eagle

Reports from the FAST. This application has link to the FAST . The project therefore aims to extract data from
the relevant source systems and transform the data into the necessary reporting format (using Business
Objects OLAP tool) on a data warehousing solution. It is designed to extract data from various sources and
load it in a staging area. The staging data will be transformed, by applying business rules and made available
to business users, reporting systems and subscribing systems. It is designed to populate various dimension,
relational, fact tables and standard products to cater the needs of reporting systems and subscribing systems.

Description:
Property Index Database is a Database which is used to store all the information about the Property assets,
Associations, Declarations and Counties etc, It is a Repository of the Property indexes which is used to the
customers in terms of buying property under whose association and what is the assessment, Association
names will be stored under the specific counties based on the customer requirements, and assessments will
be calculated based on the type of property customer having, Testing this data is very much important to the
customer interms of having Claimless Property. This data base comes up with different fact table and
dimension table which provided more clarity on the Data being used.
