• Project Title : “Design & Analysis of a Swing Arm”
• Software used for Designing : Solid Works-2015
• Software used for Analyzing : Ansys 15
(The main purpose of this project was to convert an existing model of Honda unicorn double
sided swing arm into a single sided swing arm. 3D modeling of both, double sided and single
sided swing arm was done by using SOLIDWORKS 2015. The finite element analysis was
carried out on double and single sided swing arm by using different materials. The static analysis
was carried out on single and double sided swing arm to find out stress and deformation by using
ANSYS Workbench 15.0. The project, basically, involved redesigning a double sided swing arm
into a single sided swing arm using the most favorable material, taking into consideration, its
strength, aesthetics, weight and cost.)
