WHAT IS MOBILE MARKETING?
Mobile marketing utilizes multiple distribution channels to
promote products and services via mobile devices, such as
tablets and smartphones. It makes use of features of modern
mobile technology, such as location services, to broadcast
marketing campaigns based on an individual's location. Mobile
marketing is a way in which technology can be used to create
personalized promotion of goods or services to a user who is
constantly connected to a network.
Some channels of mobile marketing are – Social media
marketing, Mobile Ads, Bulk SMS, Search Marketing(Google
AdWords), Mobile Site Redirection, etc.
SO, WHAT ARE THE STRATEGIES OF
LAUNCHING MOBILE MARKETING
1. MAKE YOUR SITE MOBILE FRIENDLY
That’s what the first thing you should do
before you start a mobile marketing campaign
is to make your site mobile-friendly. You need
to make sure that menus and content display
well for users and you can’t do that unless
you have a mobile-friendly theme.
• Through Plug-ins (Jetpack, WP Touch etc ….)
• Take mobile friendly test.
2. CREATE MOBILE FRIENDLY CONTENT
Write content based on what mobile users need while on the go. If
you’ve been using your PC for writing online, you might think all of
your tabs, pages and links are relevant and essential. In this
mobile age, they are not.

compared to desktops (0.23%). Ads on mobile apps performed twice as
well as those on mobile websites.
4. USE TEXT MESSAGES (SMS) MARKETING
Since 41% of mobile phone users use their phones for text messaging
instead of talking, using SMS marketing is a no-brainer.

5. CREATE QR CODE FOR QUICK RESPONSES
QR means “quick response.” The codes store a lot of data and can be transmitted
digitally and quickly, making them ideal for mobile device users. Using QR codes can
speed up your site and make it more easily accessible for mobile users.
6. ENCOURAGE SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
Engagement on social media comes mostly from mobile devices, so you need to
build social media into your mobile marketing strategy.
Pinterest (21%) is now more popular than Twitter (18%), in terms of usage.
And, Facebook (71%) trumps every other network, in terms of engagement.
These stats tell us that bloggers and content marketers must consistently distribute
content on Facebook and ask people to air their own views on what they share.
7. ENABLE REAL TIME TRACKING FOR APP
Real-time tracking for your mobile apps is essential, so that you know what’s
happening, when it happens.
Mobile Tracking apps helps you generate data from real-time analytics, to guide
you in targeting the right keywords, improving conversion rates and so much
more.
8. USE MUTLI-CHANNEL CAMPAIGNS

user engagement .

AUDI START-STOP APPLICATION
So Audi Automobiles came up with this mobile application marketing idea based
on the Start-Stop technology of Audi Automobiles.
A simple application which tells the user what all apps are open and not being
used and a notification is been sent to the user to close the app which save the
power and battery life. This promotes the Audi’s start – stop technology which
automatically turns the car engine off when not moving to save the fuel
PIZZAHUT GEOFENCE
The strategies adopted by pizza hut are quite innovative by proper use of the
term mobile marketing. Where the outlet dropped a message to the persons
phone as they was just half mile away from the outlet, with this strategy the
results were beyond the expectations.
STARBUCKS
Company used the mobile marketing to make paying for coffee easier and quicker
for customers. Just 3 months from when it was introduced the application gained
over 3 million user’s as it promotes customer loyalty.
