The survey was conducted during Ramadan in 2017 with 1020 Muslim smartphone users in Indonesia. Over 90% of respondents reported fasting for Ramadan. The most popular Islamic apps used were Quran apps (56.51%) and fasting schedule apps (36.88%). Over half of respondents found attractive Ramadan discount promotions online. Most respondents reported shopping more during Ramadan than other times of the year.
2. BACKGROUND
The holy Islamic month of Ramadan began on May 26th this year 2017,
and is set to end on June 24th. On this occasion DailySocial.id, in
cooperation with JakPat mobile survey app, has taken the occasion to
conduct a Ramadan-themed survey to track digital consumer trends &
attitudes.
Survey conducted with 1020 respondents sampled among smartphone
users throughout Indonesia.
