• I would like to thank from bottom of my heart to
FRANKFINN INSTITUTE of AIR HOSTESS for giving me
such an opportunity to be in this institute. I would
sincerely like to thank my GROOMING teacher Miss RITU
DUA for her constant strong support and guidance that
has encouraged me to complete this assignment. She
helped me throughout for being well groomed and
made me able to do this.
4. GROOMING..!
• GROOMING refers to the things that people do to keep themselves clean and make
their face, hair, and skin look nice. Personal grooming refers to an art which helps to
clean and maintain their body parts. Human beings need to wash, clean their body
parts to look good and for personal hygiene as well. Personal grooming does not
mean applying loads of makeup and wearing on expensive clothes. The things you
do to make yourself and your appearance tidy and pleasant. Grooming is important
for a positive self-image and to encourage and assist the resident to maintain a
pleasing and attractive appearance.
6. Patience
• A person who is working in aviation or hospitality
industry has to be patient at all times. He/she may
many a times come across a person who may be
irritated for some reason or another or may remove
all the frustration on the one who is serving them and
that may unfortunately be you. At such a time you
must know how to deal with the situation without
loosing your patience and hurting your guest’s
sentiments.
7. Wellgroomed
• A person has to make sure that he/she is Well Groomed and
looks presentable at any given point of time may it be at the
of the shifts or the end of it because they are the ones that
represent the brand he/she is working for and creates the
impression of the organization in the guests mind. This is very
important as it helps in generating future business.
8. Humble
• A person must be very humble as he/she has
to constantly deal with guests and has to
make sure that every guest that he/she deals
with feel comfortable in his/her presence.
Confident
• Who is working in Aviation or Hospitality
Industry has to be very confident while
dealing with guests. He/she must be able to
answer the questions that a guest may ask and
while answering these questions one must be
clear and understandable.
9. Physicallyfit
• Aviation or hospitality Industry will
include working for long and odd
hours, a person may even have to work
for 12-14 hours if situation arises.
Hence it is very important for a person
to be physically fit to cope up with such
tight schedules and at the same time to
put in his/her best effort.

• In Aviation or Hospitality Industry a
person should have a good
command over English as he/she has
to constantly interact with guests and
provide them with the necessary
information And assistance, at such
moments if he/she fumbles it creates
a negative impact on the guests mind
about the person and even the entire
organization.
11. PERSONALGROOMINGTREATMENTS!
I comb my hair daily.
I oil my hair before washing every alternative day to prevent hair damage. I even
use hair spa and hair serum to keep my hair from being dry and frizzy after every
wash and to keep shine in my hair.
I keep my body hydrated by drinks loads of water.
Keep my nails trimmed, and clean which gives attractive and healthy look to my
personality.
I brush my teeth regularly to prevent gum diseases and bad breath.
I do CTM twice a day.
I take bath twice a day to keep my body free from germs and bacteria. It
improves blood flow and promote relaxation.
12. WHATIS SKIN?
• The skin is the largest organ of the body. The skin
protects us from microbes and the elements, helps
regulate body temperature, and permits the sensations
of touch, heat, and cold.
• Skin has three layers naming epidermis, the outer most
layer of the skin.
• The dermis, beneath the epidermis.
• The deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis).
The skin’s color is created by special cells called
melanocytes, which produce the pigment melanin.
Melanocytes are located in the epidermis.

My skin type is oily. Oily skin happens
when the sebaceous glands in the skin make
too much sebum. Sebum is the waxy, oily
substance that protects and hydrates the skin.
14. TECHNIQUESTOIMPROVEANDMAINTAINCONDITIONOF SKIN!
• Because of my oily skin, I had ACNE VULGARIS which is a skin disease that occurs
when hair follicles are clogged with dead skin cells and oil from the skin. It is
characterized by blackheads or whiteheads, pimples, oily skin, and possible scarring.
• I am now taking a medication for this disease and now I have a much better skin than
earlier.
• I wash my face regularly with facewash (PAKNET 4.0%) and use moisturizer
(HYDRANET) and have an oral medicine (TRETIVA 10 mg) which is giving me the best
result for my skin.
• I even apply sunscreen (ACNE UV GEL-30 SPF) recommended by my doctor before 20
minutes of going under sun.
• I even apply some home remedies on my skin which is good for my oily skin.
• Liquorice (mulethi powder) mixed with rose water, lemon, and honey.

Hair is made of a tough protein called keratin.

My hair type is OILY. Excess oil in the hair can stem from tissues in the scalp or from
beauty habits. Oily hair is the result of overactive sebaceous glands, which are
producing too much sebum. Although sebum benefits the hair, keeping it healthy,
smooth and preventing it from drying out and breaking, too much
can cause the hair to look slick and greasy. Common causes for oily hair are:
Heredity problems.
16. TECHNIQUESTOIMPROVEANDMAINTAINCONDITIONOF HAIR!
I wash my hair with oil free shampoo.
I use conditioners only on the length of the hair.
I feel like washing my hair again after every 5-6 hours of washing.
I use baby powder when I feel like hair oily before going somewhere and have no
time for shampooing.
Using dry shampoo is very good for oily hair type.
We have to choose products for our hair very wisely.
I use hair spa after every wash to prevent hair from damage.
Not to touch hair too much because it can prevent coming oil out from scalp.
We should avoid straightening.
17. DIET, HEALTH, ANDDIETCHART
• Diet is the sum of food consumed by a person.
• A healthy diet / balanced diet may improve or maintain optimal health.
• Complete nutrition is necessary for a body maintenance.
• A BALANCED DIET contains minimal amount of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats,
an protein.
• I would now like to share my diet :
I regularly eat fruits which keeps my body nourished. It keeps my body hydrated.
I consume at least 3-4 liters of water a day.
I regularly eat 4 soaked almonds in the morning.
I eat green vegetables in the dinner.
I take enough consumption of carbs, protein, and fat according my weight and age.
18. Mid day snacks are the very important meals because
it can decrease the hunger and can provide enough
energy to do work for longer time.
I avoid eating junk foods as it contains only saturated
fats because it increases the cholesterol level in body
which can give cardiac arrest.
I avoid stress and late night works.
I take small but frequent meals.
Deep, regular and timely sleep plays an important
role. It keeps our mind fresh and we feel energetic all
day.
I do few exercises daily at home only and go for a
morning walk.

• Body mass index, or BMI, is a measure of body size. It combines a person's
weight with their height. The results of a BMI measurement can give an idea
about whether a person has the correct weight for their height or not.

• My BMI falls under the healthy category.
• Hence, I have a perfect BMI.

• Regular physical activity is vital for good physical and mental health.
It helps improve our overall health and fitness, maintain a healthy
weight, reduce your risk for many chronic diseases like heart attack,
diabetes, cancer and promote good mental health.
• Strength exercise is the best workout for me as it helps me to tone
my body and helps my core to be strong.
• Exercise helps up to maintain energy levels.
• It helps us to keep our brain healthy an sharpen our memory.
• In improves our sleep quality.
• It keeps us relaxed.

It is very important to present yourself as professional
because the company has to be convinced that are
enough mature to do this job.
Everyone takes you seriously if you are well groomed.
A well groomed personality speaks value about your
character.
The first impression should ne the ‘LAST IMPRESSION’,
as he/she selects you on a go.
We must always dress up as per the occasion or
requirement and not as per our desire.
