2. Concept
The video follows Jane as she tries to figure out were she is, and why
she is here. The video will follow her as she searches for answers.
There will be a separate narrative strand that contains the band
performing the song. The idea of the two separate narratives has been
drawn from the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?

3. Performance
Performance is integral for this music video, as the shots of Jane are
more passive and she will not lip-synch at any point. This will put
more pressure on the band, many of the videos that inspired the
difference in performance contain strong acting from the band.

4. Narrative
The narrative structure of the video is fragmented but presented in
liner fashion. As the main theme that is presented is the search for
answers for Jane and the Band. Using fragmented narrative structure
portrays this concisely. The story is only forwarded with the Jane
narrative strand. Jane is portrayed as isolated and alone through the
duration of the film. Inspired by

5. Lighting
As the majority of the filming will be conducted outside, making
control of the lighting difficult, but filming at specific times will
minimize the negative effect of this. The indoor shot will have strong
contrast from light and dark. The overall mood shall be dark and
disquieting. Inspired from

6. Camera
Camera work is very important when trying to portray complex themes
such as death and acceptance. The camera shall not be stationary at
any point during the video, due to the fast beat of the song. The use
of an multitude of shots and angles, allows for the visuals to match
the song. Framing the creates specific connotations that allows use to
represent the themes concisely. Inspired by
