33. CRITICISMS OF EQ It is too broadly defined & the definitions are unstable. It cannot be recognized as a form of intelligence. It has no substantial predictive value.
34. SOME MYTHS & FACTS Being highly EI doesn’t mean a weak, submissive or defensive personality Being highly EI doesn’t mean being extra nice, polite or sugar coating your language. The females are not superior to males in expressing emotions. In fact, the research shows that males are equally emotional when compared to females. No dependence upon heredity. Paradigm shift from IQ to EQ. EI = 2 * ( IQ + technical expertise ) EI is four times as important in terms of overall success. 90% of the difference between outstanding & average leaders is linked to EI.
